Return #2? I can‘t believe it‘s been 5 months away again! Thank University for that! With the holidays here, I have a little bit more free time, and I‘m going to clear up my schedule each week to catch up with my reading! Expect mostly fiction reads, but I may throw in some of my course reading for any other marine vertebrate zoologist out there! Are there any books you pave enjoyed and would recommend? *Initial thoughts*

I‘m CAPTIVATED. The first few pages hooked me like a fish and now the story is just reeling me in! I always adored the film, but it seems as though the novel is taking its place already! I‘ve been meaning to read this for a few years now, so it‘s great I‘ve found the time to get invested 📚 🦈

I have two minds on this book. It‘s gripping (to a degree, at least), bold and sent me on a mini emotional rollercoaster; yet I found myself feeling slightly unsatisfied after completion. I can‘t quite put my finger on what it is, but it may have something to do with the end coming up so fast, without all my questions being answered. I‘m not sure if this was Fowler‘s intention, but it‘s safe to say I‘m left a little disappointed 📚🦈

So... what did I miss? I know I‘ve been gone for a while, but with exams and the excitement of University approaching, I really haven‘t had much time to read (other than my study guides) at all! Never mind though, I‘m back now, and you‘ll be hearing a lot more from me... Happy reading 📚🦈

Just a little update on my 2018 so far...
I GOT THE JOB! I honestly have the nicest boss in the world and I can‘t believe how blessed I am! This years looking up already!

Time to sort my life out!
This week, I have two job interviews, training for a job I may or may not have already accepted (whoops!), a date and it‘s my first week back at college!! Oh, and I start uni this year studying Msci marine vertebrate zoology in wales!! Looks like a busy year 😎

I WILL FINISH THIS...eventually...
To be truthful, I've been so caught up in the repetitive tragedy of love in the Owens' house-hold (Practical magic) that I completely forgot to read any of this today! I'm actually half way through practical magic- something I'm happy with considering I've been ridiculously busy this week already- so I should be finished by tomorrow... anyway, sorry Stephen King! I haven't abandoned you yet! 😂😂📚🦈

This quote really struck a cord with me. I think at some point in everyone's life, we've all wished we could simply "be like everyone else"-The grass is always greener on the other side, right? For this quote, I almost felt the pain of desperation the girls must be feeling to "fit in" to the society that has so obviously shunned them. They long to be rid of their individuality and to simply blend in. It's quite sad really, when you think about it.

So, after much thought about what books I'd like to read to start my 2018 right, I couldn't help think about my stash of books I meant to read, but never got round to. I've always had a deep love for Nicholas Sparks' Novels- the way he writes is so beautiful, I sometimes forget I'm reading a book and not living in it. So what better way to start 2018, than with "Two by Two". Better get the tissues ready!

As a child, this novella was a chore for me to read! I simply didn't enjoy it and I just could figure out why. I was constantly re-reading over each page and I was relieved to see the back of this book. However, I recently picked this book back up and I must say, I was completely and utterly wrong! Maybe it was because I read it out of choice and not because I had to, but I genuinely found this book enjoyable. This is now a Christmas staple! 📚🦈

Thought I‘d add a dash of the classics while I still have time! 📚🦈

It‘s official...I‘m in love with this book! I still have a bit to go but, once again, King has had me hooked from page to page. Often, I find books with such a vast range of characters tend to confuse me rather than entertain me, but this novel is easy to follow and almost impossible to put down. I can‘t wait to finish this beast soon! ❤️📚❤️

While reading this book, I came across this gem of a quote. It reminded me of another little quote- “A well-read woman is a dangerous creature.” Lisa Kleypas- and I couldn't help thinking about how important it is to allow both boys and girls a chance to delve into the world of fiction and how important a strong female lead in a book can be to a child's social development.
