I did really good in April, I‘m surprised - I did gain weight but for all my goals I‘m really feeling like mental health and pain I‘m getting things in order. I‘d like to keep motivated about jobs and moving and just keep up while adding some healthier foods to my diet.

Oh my gosh, the last week of April!?!?! What is happening!?!? It's been a cold & rainy month here, but things are looking up right now - sun is shining & I actually got a few early veggies in the garden yesterday!!

May was a slow reading month for me, but I read some really great books. Heaven My Home, They Never Learn, and These Ghosts Are Family are all new 5⭐ reads. Petticoats is an old favorite. I really enjoyed everything I read with the exception of being a little disappointed in the second Mystic Bayou.

Pretty successful May to me! And I almost cleared my bingo board for #bookspinbingo !!!
Sadly, I didn‘t finish anything this weekend and I won‘t finish anything today, so that leaves me at 10 books for May - 4 print and 6 audiobooks. Two for #readingasia2021 and two for #booked2021, I think. From left to right, top to bottom, these are in the order of how much I liked them. Dark Age and Ophie‘s Ghosts were my favorites this month - both 5 star reads. The Quiet American was the biggest disappointment. #maywrapup #maystats

A mix of old and new, ARCs and long-time #mountTBR
My reading for May! Not a huge number of books, but some real chunkers on this list- Mistborn was almost 700 pages, Middlegame was almost 500, Shell Seekers was over 500. All were extremely excellent... except Jane Eyre, because I am apparently uncultured swine. Hated the audiobook, was so glad when it was over. Funny enough, I finished my audio and regular read today, so I'll get to start June fresh!
May wrap up. 21 books total. 9 Audio, 12 print/kindle. I actually had 6 five star books this month! Also my first one star book of the year. Overall a great reading month though.
Beat last months record with 14 books this month. 10 print, 4 Audio. I thought I might try to finish Us Against You today for May, but I think it will be June‘s first book.
pickI had always been a bit wary of Fitzgerald's short stories; a bit too long, a bit too wordy and a bit too dated- thank god I got over that! This story is by turns funny, tragic, critical and caustic. If you want to put a wry smile on a beautiful day read this- but read with caution because it could leave scars on you outlook and soul.
