THIS. WAS. AMAZING. I loved loved loved this fantasy mystery so much, and I‘m excited for the second in the series! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was very hard to get a picture of this that didn‘t have a cat in the way lol. I really enjoyed this!! The characters were interesting, the plot was unique, and I loved the world. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Read this for Mother-Daughter Murder Mystery Book Club with @AmyK1 this month! I was completely stumped by this one, and thoroughly enjoyed it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ while this sequel had a slower beginning, it really ramped up and I was HOOKED. Ina and Skedi remain my favorites

Finally got around to reading this Lisa Wingate from earlier this year, and as expected, I really enjoyed it! I did feel that some of the dialogue was a bit TOO expository, but overall I enjoyed this one ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My mom @AmyK1 and I read this for our December Mother-Daughter Murder Mystery Book Club! For once, I did suspect the right person, though the whole plot was a LOT more complex than I expected! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This month‘s Mother-Daughter Murder Mystery Book Club read with @AmyK1 was so different from most other books I‘ve read, and so interesting!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have not read this author‘s first book, but i absolutely fell in love with this one. Magical and historical and so, so interesting to read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Finished both of these in the last few days—one the October pick for the Mother-Daughter Murder Mystery Book Club me and @AmyK1 do, and the other a highly anticipated history book! I loved them both so much, to be honest. Recommend!!!

My work received the ARC of this new sci-fi epic, and I‘ve been devouring every word! Good for fans of Iron Widow and anyone who likes space, mech battles, and revenge. This comes out later this month (the 21st!) and I am so tempted to get myself the fancy edition with sprayed edges.

Two recently finished books! I finally finished Babel, after a year, and the other is a buddy read with @AmyK1 for mother-daughter murder mystery book club! Really enjoyed both, though I don‘t remember a lot of Babel…. 😄

I really enjoyed this book, my first by any of the three authors! I‘ve been very interested in the sinking of the Lusitania since reading Dead Wake last year, and this book was like the perfect treat. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another book in my quest to read everything Gaiman‘s written (for adults, anyway). Not everything in this was a hit for me, but I really enjoyed most of them, especially the last one, Black Dog, and one in the middle about a cave in the mountains. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I saw this book on the shelf at work, and knew I just HAD to read it with my mom, @AmyK1 We enjoy reading murder mysteries and talking about them together, and we both liked this one a lot! Now I want to go kayaking, lol. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Got this as an ARC through my job at a bookstore.
I enjoyed this book and found it quite funny. However, I did find some of the plot, especially towards the end, very confusing, which detracted from my enjoyment. I can‘t tell for sure, though, if this was a book problem or a me problem. I also disliked the fact that the MC was never given a name. I understand why Bradley chose to do this, but I felt more detached from the main character. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book is a real-talk, lighthearted yet serious letter to young black girls all over America, from someone who understands them. I‘m not the target audience, but I loved reading it and related to quite a few things! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I feel like I learned so much from reading this—I‘d recommend it to anyone! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really enjoyed reading through this mythology book! I learned several stories I hadn‘t read before.

3.75 stars for this book club pick. I didn‘t really like the short chapters combined with jumping between the narrators and constant time skips, but I did enjoy learning about these two women.

Larson never fails to provide a throughly readable and informative book. This one has the double honor of pulling me out of a reading slump, as it‘s the first book I‘ve managed to finish in a month… oops!
