A very slow 150 page start. I almost DNFed but I didn't feel like choosing another book to start 😂 Once it really got into the meat of the story it was actually interesting.

Reading the 2nd Team W book in preparation for a weekend author event with them the 1st weekend in November in Newport, RI
Maybe the pocket watch in its casing was the inspiration for the pocket watch in this book!

I really enjoyed this book, my first by any of the three authors! I‘ve been very interested in the sinking of the Lusitania since reading Dead Wake last year, and this book was like the perfect treat. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
HISTORICAL FICTION - MYSTERY - LUSITANIA
All of the characters had a reason to be on the Lusitania, and the reasons were all different.

My pick this month for the #BacklistReadathon is The Glass Ocean by Beatriz Williams and friends. It‘s been on my shelf for a while, so it‘s time!
I'm impressed at how smooth the chapter transitions were in this one! It really felt like one story, not three authors jamming three POVs together. I think my favorite plotline was Sarah and John's, but all three of the leading ladies had interesting backstories and motivations, and the sinking of the Lusitania at the end hit me like a brick, even though I knew it was coming! #historicalfiction
A beautiful novel of historical fiction 💙🧡🤍

I really enjoyed this historical fiction based on the sinking of the Lusitania. There was a mystery that made it hard to put down.
Off to read Dead Wake by Erik Larson next.
Also, Terra enjoying her afternoon nap 🐶
Loved this book!! I‘m totally going to get their other work, “The Forgotten Room” 👍🏻
This Angela Martin quote from “The Office” sums up my thoughts regarding this book 😆 I can‘t put the book down because I want to see how the story unfolds right now! Can we get to work on a time vacuum where I can read for 5 hours, but it‘s really only been 5 minutes???
I enjoyed this but wonder if there‘s a percentage of history vs fiction recommended for historical fiction. This felt more like a romance taking place within a historical setting than it did historical fiction. That‘s not really a complaint- just an observation.
Another fantastic story from these three authors. I really enjoyed the concept and the writing was so well woven together, I really would have thought it was one author who had written this book, not three. It was quite a beautiful tale with a lot of emotional resonance. Hope they put out another book together!

My first from the 3Ws. I‘ve tried to get into “The Forgotten Room” a couple times and it‘s never taken. However, I liked this one a lot! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
HF based on the sinking of the Lusitania during WWI, 1915 - dual timeline. Written by the 3 Ws (Williams, Willig, White), this is done well, and keeps you guessing.
Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White combine efforts to tell various stories in the past and present, all centered on the Lusitania. Such a wonderful story, and an early #LiteraryCrew #buddyread . #TheSkyeBoatSong #SoaringScores
Prepping my book stack for the #24in48 readathon this weekend. Can‘t wait to dig in! 📚😁

Non-fiction & fictional accounts of the plight of those on board the luxury ocean liner, the Lusitania, when a German U- boat torpedoed it as it was crossing the Atlantic, May 1, 1915.
One audiobook finished and another ready to start tomorrow. I'm so glad I finally started listening on audio some months ago- it's transformed my commute!
I enjoyed listening to this book: it's 3 stories, written by 3 authors, narrated by 3 voice actors all combining to give us a story about love vs loss, honor vs treason, family legacies vs forging your own path, and self discovery. Two thumbs up!
Now on to Sweetie's story!
Sophie and I decided that finishing the tagged book took priority over the gym or getting work done this morning. That can wait. 😻
I just finished the Audible version of this book about a few mysterious passengers on the Lusitania who might have had some bearing on why it was sunk. Light romance, which was all I could bear since I don‘t care to read romance books, but the characters‘ stories and the overall mystery was well done. The narration, however, was exemplary. Close to one of the best. Great character differentiation and accents!
Finally had time to read this one. I loved the multiple story lines. The author intertwines them effortlessly and the story just flowed naturally in and around the past and present. Inventive fiction tale involving around the sinking of the Lusitina. 4 Stars

📘 Tagged is the physical book and also listens too Red Mars.
📘 The one I just read, Station Eleven, I got from the library.
🌞 I love the morning but only after I get out of bed.

I started several books in February that I didn't finish. Therefore, I want to finish what I started first. Then I hope to have time to start new ones. Work has been so busy and has taken away from my reading time. I am thinking positively... March is going to be a good reading month! 😋
⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 This book sucked me in from the beginning! I loved Sarah‘s story. She was definitely my favorite of the 3 women, which is strange because usually my favorite would be someone from the past and not the present. It makes me want to read more books about the Lusitania. I wanted more about the actual sinking of the ship and more about the mystery they were researching. It just left me wanting more! A great read!
Entranced from the beginning! I wish I could sit here all day and read this.
Loved this!! Up too late last night finishing it. I couldn‘t stop!!
Truly fun book of intrigue and espionage set on the Lusitania during WWII with a second story line set today as research is done to understand what happened on the sinking ship. Lovers of historical fiction will enjoy this one.
I finished up the #24in48 with a little over 17 hours read. I had a busier weekend than planned so I‘m very happy with the results. I was able to finish two books, listened to a large chunk of an audiobook & I‘m halfway through two more books, including ‘The Glass Ocean‘ pictured above. It was fun to take this readathon at a more leisurely pace & I actually think I might stay up for one more hour & keep reading - I‘m right at an intriguing part!
Finally starting this book. My husband painted our master bath over the weekend. Love the pale yellow!

I was planning on a cosy weekend full of reading, so the #WinterStormReadathon hosted by @BookBabe and @MrBook is kismet! Our snow has been pushed back to the beginning of next week, but I‘ll still be burrowed under blankets, book in hand.
Pictured is my #currentread, which I‘m thoroughly enjoying, my #hotbeverage (Williams Sonoma Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate with EXTRA marshmallows) and my #cozyreadingnook!
Let me know if you‘re joining in!
One of the most interesting books I‘ve read of this time period and of the sinking of the Lusitania. Told from the perspectives of three different women, past and present, you get a varied picture of the events surrounding these characters‘ lives. Well-written and engaging. Definitely one of my favorites of these authors so far!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
Historical fiction about the Lusitania. Someone in this time doing research and learning about a mystery.
I looove a good Historical Fiction. And this is historical fiction-meets-mystery-meets-romance. Very well done. Kept my captivated and broke my heart 💜
