This was one of my #BookSpin books for June! I listened to this on audio and it was just okay for me. I'm not a poetry reader so I sometimes struggle with them. The flowery language mixed with contemporary conversations between the girls threw me off a bit!

I finished A Dowry of Blood last week for book club and it was a very quick read that I ended up really enjoying!
I'm using this for a Book with Monsters, as the story is told from the POV of one of Dracula's wives. #booked2023

One day I'll get my life back together and post my list before the second day of the month. Unfortunately yesterday I was swamped at work all day so it won't be this month 🤣 #bookspin

This was a pretty good ending to the Winternight trilogy! I buddy read this with @TheBookKeepers and am glad we finished the series! The Bear ended up being one of my favorite characters and I would have loved more of him in the previous books.
This book is used for #booked2023 for the Gifted by a Friend prompt, as I got this from a Christmas swap two or so years ago!

Another February read that also happened to be a January #BookSpin was Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson. I LOVED this book! I typically love family dramas and really enjoy seeing this explored in other cultures. This was as good as other readers have said!

A bit of a late review. I finished this at the end of February and overall really enjoyed it! The very end of it I don't think was necessary or made a whole lot of sense for the story, though. The characters were lots of fun and I loved Mama Lettie!

The Golden Enclaves was such an amazing end to the Scholomance trilogy! There were a lot of twists and surprises as El goes on her journey to "balance" the looming enclave war! I finished Thistlefoot this week for another traveling book group and it was quite a read! Overall a lovely message with very complex characters. I thought the middle lagged a bit but the ending was perfection! I loved all the Baba Yaga stories woven in throughout. Using this for #booked2023 A Title with a Proper Noun

This was a solid collection of romantic short stories by Rainbow Rowell! If you are a fan of her book Fangirl or the Snow&Baz spin off then you'll like these as well! Some of my favorite stories were Kindred Spirits and The Prince and the Troll. The audio was great on it as well.

This book was PHENOMENAL!! An original YA fantasy story and I thoroughly enjoyed every single page. I am very sad I have to wait 9 months for book 2 as this book does end on a cliffhanger!
Using this for #booked2023 as a Quiet YA because I haven't seen much about this book on the social medias. I will be recommending this to a lot of people this year!

My first completed book of 2023 just happens to be a reread! I plan on finally reading the rest of the trilogy this winter so I needed a refresh. This book was phenomenal!! I had been wanting to read an adventure fantasy recently and this hit me in all the correct places. Will be reading the prequel coming out in February for sure!

Well this was.....something. Very similar to the book The Last Mrs. Parrish. I read this as a traveling book so the fun part was seeing everyone's reactions to the over the top, shocking behavior.

My #BookSpin book for December is To Chase the Sun by Craig Randall. I "met" the author through my bookstagram and he is such a kind soul! This is his collection of poetry he wrote as he struggled with anxiety and depression. I'm not a poetry person really, but I enjoyed this! You can definitely feel his struggles and his breakthroughs. @TheAromaofBooks

I LOVED this book! The vibes of this were just so fun and cute and quirky. If you're looking for a lighter read and a few laughs and a well thought out magic system, then give this a go! This was a really good fictional story that takes place based on real situations/places. It is overall a pretty heavy and graphic book, but I learned about a new tragic event in history. Would recommend!

This ended up being a pan for me, but not the worst. I feel like all I really learned about this was how awful Steve Jobs was as a person. Thank you for a great round! And @staci.reads I enjoyed your notes you sent with each book! ❤️ #LMPBC @cwarnier @allureofbeauty

I was actually pretty surprised by this book as I expected it to be full smut, no substance (no shade if you enjoy that, it's just not my bag!) but there was no smut until the backhalf and then it was done pretty well. I plan on reading the rest of the books at some point, probably using them as palate cleansers between heavier reads. #bookspin
