A reread for me -- necessary before reading the next book -- and it was just as good the second time. My favorite of the “Murderbot“ series, because of the characters and relationships, and Murderbot caring so much no matter how hard it tries not to.

My first #12BooksOf2024 is the first book club read of 2024! I couldn‘t put this one down, and was definitely my favorite January read— though an honorable mention goes to Anders de la Motte‘s THE MOUNTAIN KING for the month— still waiting on the sequel being translated into English!

My favorite book in January was Dan Santat‘s graphic novel memoir about a trip he took to Europe in middle school. It‘s a wonderful story about all sorts of “firsts,” including first love, as well as the joys, embarrassments, fun, and adventure that comes with being a teenager. A delightful read beginning to end.
