Harry‘s sister knows I exist and this information is a lot to process. Also, I‘m very excited to read her book.

Finally embarking on reading Little Women after visiting the Alcotts‘ Orchard House last weekend. Excited for this special edition!
Book 2/200 of my physical TBR. My kindle keeps getting in the way, though 😅

“Jeanie Ellis had never killed a man before, but tonight might be the night.”
😂
It‘s been a long time since a book made me cry, and in not even done. The narrators for this audio are great, especially the MMC.
I finally got around to reorganizing one of my bookshelves. This one‘s in the living room so I can admire those cool dust jackets all the time 😍
I will be posting on TikTok (@ c_5315) as I start to actually go on a reading journey of ALL my physical books! I have 200 to get through… and I‘d like to do it in under two years. Reviews will be posted here and on TikTok!
Currently listening to the audiobook and enjoying this. I did not like The Paris Apartment right before this, but both audiobooks have been well done.
This guy is my new reading buddy. Continuing The Paris Apartment and I‘m not sure how I feel about it 100 pages in. The audiobook is helping me keep all the characters straight, though!
I say this every year… but I‘m going to read my physical TBR!!! I got this idea from a friend who saw it on TikTok.. I am attempting to wrap all my books and will read them randomly by number. Hoping to also do some #bookspinbingo boards to help with this. I am truly going to make an effort not to buy ANY books until I read them all!! Not pictured… about 150 more books to wrap 😂 Wish me luck on this likely yearlong (at least) journey.
I had an error in my last post - I‘ve actually read 3 Sager books. I didn‘t like The House Across the Lake at all. The twist just wasn‘t consistent with the rest of the story. But THIS one - I had no clue what was coming for the last quarter of the book, but I felt like it was actually plausible. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
It‘s been a long time since I‘ve posted, but I‘m making a summer return! Hoping to be a lot more consistently active on here. This book was the second Sager I‘ve read and I really enjoyed it. The twists and red herrings have gotten me in both books. I look forward to his newest when my hold comes in! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
70 pages in and I‘m not understanding the love for this book. It‘s not funny, there‘s terrible traumatic things happening or that have happened, all the men are bad, and the author REALLY wants me to know how inequitable science is/was. I‘m not disagreeing, but it feels heavy-handed so far. Trying to keep going for my book club, but I might stop if it‘s not better in 30 more pages.
I love this series so much 🥰
Taking a break from novels to read the Heartstopper series. I binged all of season 2 last night; the show is so wonderful, and the books are just as cute.
Up next! Reading this one as part of a book club with some lovely coworkers.
This is so cute so far! I feel like I‘m watching GBBO as I read.
This week‘s reads and up next. I finally got into the swing of reading at the end of the summer (after watching red white & royal blue too many times) and have been in the mood for sweet romances. Please send any recs this way 🥰
Obsessed with this book. Counting down the days for the next in the series.
Jumping on the personal pool trend for reading this summer - why didn‘t I ever think of this!? Perfect for days when I‘m too lazy to visit my parents‘ pool or the beach 🤪
Rearranged my bedroom bookshelf with a bunch of TBR books. Hoping to making a big dent this summer.
This was such a cute book. I haven‘t cried happy tears while reading in a while. Damien was a little reminiscent of Mr. Darcy and I immediately wanted to watch Pride & Prejudice (the 2005 version 😉).
Next up - a recommendation I stumbled across on Tiktok.
Highly recommend the audiobook. Ben Barnes does a great job. I wouldn‘t have been nearly as engaged without the cast & sound effects in the recording.
This has been an awful reading year for me, but I‘m jumping into #bookspinbingo for one last month! I‘ve been reading a lot of kindle unlimited books lately, so I think I‘m getting back in the swing of it.
Reading this for a book club and I‘m not sure… so many co-workers were raving about it as a brilliant summer read. That always makes me nervous 🙃
Recently read all 4 of these and really enjoyed them. Are they all some variation of the same plot? Yes. Are they still pretty cute? Also yes. Faking with Benefits was the first one I read, so I think that‘s why I liked it most, but I‘d say these are all worth a read if you like reverse harem romance!
I adore Tessa Bailey‘s books so far. I started with My Killer Vacation and loved It Happened One Summer right after. Definitely want to read the sequel soon.
I ended up really enjoying Book Lovers! It was pretty cute and not too cringey. I liked Beach Read a little less, probably because I read it second and there were some plot similarities that left me a bit bored. Overall I‘m definitely an Emily Henry fan.
This has been the weirdest reading year I‘ve had in a while. I feel like 3 out of 4 weeks of every month have just been slumps. I just finished It Happened One Summer this week, so I‘m hoping another cute read will help!
It‘s once again been a while, but I have 13 days of school left to teach and I cannot wait to finally have days back to myself and my books 😊 I love teaching, but wow do I need a break after this year. Looking forward to making a dent in my TBR and joining a few readathons from the beach.
Compared to my last read, I thought this was worlds better. Multiple first person POVs and jumps in time to before and after the suspicious murder. I don‘t always like first person, but I felt like I knew the characters much more thoroughly in this book. The plot itself was pretty good, with some good red herrings.
This week has been super busy, but I‘ve been sporadically reading this and liking it! I also got The Paris Apartment by the same author and am eager to read that one, too.
Next up!! The first couple books in the series were good, quick reads; looking forward to finishing the rest.
The plot had potential, but I didn‘t care for the writing style. Present tense, frequent shifts in POV with each character, and a lot of straightforward “telling” sentences that didn‘t hold my interest. I don‘t usually mind multiple POVs, but I didn‘t feel like I ever had a grasp of who was who the entire book. Might try another from this author, but this one was not for me.
First read of the month! Trying to build some momentum from a good end of February. March tends to be the month I get busy or distracted and endlessly scroll on my phone until it‘s suddenly summer.
Got my list! Some books carried over… some added on. My mystery kick isn‘t helping my tbr, just making it longer 😂 #bookspin #bookspinbingo #19 #3
I had high hopes for this locked room mystery, but it ended up being pretty average. I sped through the end to find out what happened, but I didn‘t feel very invested in the main character. If I had read this before The Woman in the Window, I think I would have liked it more, but it fell a little flat for me in comparison. Book 3 for #kicktheslump! I met my goal, woohoo!
This ended up being fairly middle of the road. It kept my interest for a while, but towards the end became slightly predictable and ultimately too unbelievable. The final reveal was just not convincing. However, great setting, and the epilogue does make me want to try out the second book when it comes out later this year.
Just past halfway and this is getting stressful!! I thought I figured it out, but not quite. Excited to see how it ends.
I‘m doing terrible with my tbr & #bookspinbingo board this month…. but here‘s my next thriller! My husband and I both bought a few this week, and I‘ve really enjoyed how engaging and fast this genre can be.
This was unexpectedly good! I saw mixed reviews, and the Netflix film is apparently terrible, but this was a fast-paced read with some great twists I didn‘t except at all. #kicktheslump Got at least 1 book read for this readathon, and a snow storm tomorrow to keep me inside! ❄️
