I had a hard time with this one. I think I just have too much going on.

OMG this book! One of the best I‘ve read this year 💗 I don‘t usually do anything sci-fi/fantasy/unrealistic but this one did it for me. It wasn‘t too far fetched as to become totally unbelievable. What an amazing story!
This is about Daniel, who can remember his past lives. He has been in love for centuries with a girl (variously named Sophie/Charlotte/Lucy, depending on her past life) who cannot. I found the whole concept of Daniel keeping his memory from one life through the others to be rather fascinating—those were the parts I liked. The love story—not so much. And the ending was ridiculous and obviously set up for a sequel which I will not read.
And here we go with the #20ThingsAboutMe meme.
Y'all know I get anxious about tagging people, so I'll skip that part.
Y‘all. I just finished My Name Is Memory and am prepared to find every copy of it and burn them in an epic bonfire so no one is subjected to this HEARTBROKEN RAGE about the ending. Everybody read it so we can be rageful up together.

Daniel remembers everything going back centuries in order to find his love. This story goes back and forth in time telling of each time they fell in love.
Side note...waiting for a sequel since 2010.
Excited to start reading this one for my #youngadultfiction book club this month. The picture features my kitty Paris, who just passed away this week. I miss her so much 💕
For real?! Ended in the middle of a great plot line!
I‘d still read it again. Great elements of historical fiction sprinkled amongst a beautiful and angsty love story. But seriously, where‘s the next one?!???? 😫
Today‘s #readingresolutions challenge was #memory. I decided to choose a book with memory in the name. I‘m still steamed there hasn‘t been a sequel. 😩
Recall of past lives, soul recognition from incarnation to incarnation, love that spans lifetimes . . . the Ultimate soulmates story

Thanks for the tag, @ReadOrDieRachel !

11. MY NAME IS MEMORY
Hello, my name is Marta.
My #LitsyHandle is monogamist_reader, because I have a bad memory and I can always read one book at a time. I can't follow two stories at the same time. 😂 I usually go by the online name warghalv (but that's another story). I just wanted something for book-related social so I came up with monogamist_reader. ✌️🖐️
@Chelleo
My name is Memory. Like the thing in your head.
My #LitsyHandle was the name of my character in a Star Wars RPG my friends and I ran when we were teenagers. We did it all through email, with zero regard for how other people do RPGs, and it was awesome. I also wrote craploads of dire fanfic about the guy, and adopted xicanti as my standard username because it was uncommon. I DID steal it from a dodgy YA novel, though, so I can't always nab it.
#memoryremains #90sinJuly. What if your soul is reborn into other lives ? What if you remember your past lives but your soulmate does not? This book was an obvious pick for this prompt 😀
I loved this book and hated the ending. It was beautifully written and had a combination of genres wrapped into one. But, man, that last fourth of the book was not great. I still think it's a pick, but beware so you're not disappointed.
#sizzlinsummerbooks Day 14: Around the world.
Daniel has spent centuries falling in love with the same girl. Life after life, crossing continents and dynasties. A magical story of reincarnation and a love that lasts more than a lifetime.
@Tiffy_Reads
"You are one of my very best". I don't know why I love this, but it is everything. Maybe, it's because it's about being a mom, I don't know.
Sorry for the bath pic, but we redid our bathroom and our new tub has perfect in tub ledges for my elbows while reading! I really like the book as well! #win #kohlertub #whothoughtofthis #givethemaraise
#afterlife #junetunz "sometimes love lasts more than a lifetime " a reincarnation romance. My stack contains #cookbook/food-themed #riotgrams. What's culinary school really like? What's for lunch in Paris? How about a recipe Dan Dan Noodles?
"You have been with me from the very first life. You are my first memory every time, the single thread in all my lives. It's you who makes me a person."
I LOVED this book, but hated the ending. And as someone who grew up in Virginia, I really didn't like that she referred to a "Virginia Twang" in relation to speech. Virginians 99.999% of the time based on the cities mentioned in her book DO NOT HAVE A SOUTHERN ACCENT ???. The story itself is sweet, and gut-wrenching. A soul keeps coming back desperate to finally connect with it's soulmate, or so he believes. Awesome plot, and well told.
So I was really liking this book.... until the last chapter...I hate that it ended so up in the air. After all that I would have liked some closure.
Love the story, hate the ending. I've said it before: I like my endings long, drawn out, and happy.
My plan for #litsypartyofone is My name is memory.... however these eggs won't stuff themselves for an Easter egg hunt I'm running tomorrow...
Wow, I just devoured this book. Even brought it to work with me to read while my students were at lunch. A love story over lifetimes, great story telling, a light and enjoyable read.
Amazing. I loved this book! Daniel has been living life over and over, and he remembers his past lives and recognizes souls. And he is trying to find his soulmate. But she doesn't remember Daniel.
Such a good book! I think this will be in my top five for this year.
Starting a new book at my parent's house - nice view of the lake and a hummingbird visitor.
@BookBabe felt a little under the weather last night, so I made Vanilla Caramel tea in mugs that my sister decorated and gave to us over Christmas. And after reading a love story about soulmates that spans centuries, well, ya know ☺️. I love her tremendously 😍.
An almost perfect love story. Captivating premise, held my attention through the end. It's about reincarnation and undying love. Could've been slightly better written, but I enjoyed it. The ending was not entirely satisfying, but not a deal-breaker. Shown here with one of the book clubs @MrBook and I run, and a half-healthy lunch (chicken Cesar wrap and disco tots). 😉
@BookBabe 's and my #ThePoconoBookClub met over lunch today. An awesome 2+-hour discussion on "My Name Is Memory". Fantastic conversation today. And my food was soooo good ??: bacon cheeseburger with provolone and mushrooms: disco tater tots (tots are making a strong comeback ???); & Southern iced tea. Love my bookclubs! (The ladies are still talking, & I'm going, hmmm, time to post a food pic ?!)
I've forsaken the BBQs, and instead curled up with a cup of tea and a good book. A VERY good book. This is the moment of truth—my final reading session with this intense and unexpected love story. I haven't been able to put it down. Can't wait to see how it ends! 🤗📚☕️
Sunday #booknbrunch with @MrBook at our favorite spot — Starting the day right with poached eggs florentine Atlantic with lox, spinach, and herb cream sauce, a fresh fruit cup, and a magnificent Mimosa. 😊🍳🍾🍊🍉📚
Enjoying a delicious Italian dinner with @MrBook ! Amazing homemade ravioli with vodka sauce and pinot noir.
An interesting romance that hovers around 4 stars. Well-written and well-executed plot. 2 souls struggle to come together over many reincarnated lifetimes, while another keeps them apart. A better done sibling to "The Memory Painter" with tones of Claire North's Harry August and "Touch". Sophia &, especially, Daniel were frustrating in different ways, lol. A beautiful story nonetheless. #PairWith: Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Champagne, chilled.
#BookNDinner Episode 38, annnd action! My book this evening is complemented by: garlic parmesan wings followed by a cheesesteak, fries, & sweet iced tea. @BookBabe 's book this evening is complemented by: crab bisque followed by smoked bbq ribs, cheddar chicken quesadillas, & iced tea. This has been another presentation of #MrBookBookBabeKitchen! 😎👍🏻
#BookNMunchies! MrBook's famous tortilla plate: tortilla chips, mozzarella & cheddar & provolone shredded cheeses, black olives, hard salami, pepperoni, a secret amalgamation of spices (add salsa and sour cream if you like). Nuke it, and voila! In 5 minutes you've got the perfect snack to go with any book entrée ????! @BookBabe likes some marinated artichoke hearts on hers also. This has been another episode of #MrBookBookBabeKitchen ???.
#BookBrunch! Favorite time of the week ?! Today's menu for the day: cheddar-garlic scrambled eggs, extra crispy tater tots, blueberry English muffin, lemonade, and chamomile tea with local honey, and "My Name Is Memory". @BookBabe , Coale, book, food--complete! ?
#BookAndDinner this fine evening: beef lo mein, white rice, egg drop soup, ummm crunchy things, an egg roll, and Pepsi Vanilla...and, of course, my book! Aallll set 😎👍🏻👌🏻!
Nothing like a #CrackerBarrel #bookandbreakfast! Pecan pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, tea, oj, and a great book! 😎👍🏻😋
"The present is over quickly, you might say, and it is, but man, it goes like a wrecking ball. "
Love who you love while you have them. That‘s all you can do. Let them go when you must. If you know how to love, you‘ll never run out.
