Despite the short length, this was a very entertaining and interesting read. I especially enjoyed the point of view and humor of the fake psychic. As a fan of Gillian Flynn, I was definitely left wanting more.

Sometimes a book comes along that forever leaves its mark on you. A powerful story about friendships, dreams and faith. It is compelling.
3.5⭐️ A modest psychological thriller. I was hoping for something dark and creepy, but only got mildly unsettling. It is fast paced and Ruth Ware knows how to create atmosphere and set a scene. But I did not like the characters, and the ending was predictable.
"I wrote it because I believed it was the right thing to do, and because the things that make us most uncomfortable are the things that teach us what we all need to know" - quote from the author's notes.
This novel forces readers to meditate on their own beliefs and actions along with the characters. Such a thought provoking read.
My 2016 year in books. Here's to a wonderful new year to read.
Merry Christmas Litsy Friends. 🎄🎁
I was completely lost in this disturbing love story. There are several difficult and highly controversial topics in the book. I am still feeling conflicted. It will make an impression, whether good or bad. It is definitely a great choice for an emotional read.
HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY!🐾 This is my sweet Bailee Anne.
Today is World Elephant Day. Elephants are pretty wonderful creatures, with strong everlasting bonds for those they love. Jodi Picoult's book Leaving Time is for anyone who loves animals, especially elephants. It will leave you feeling many emotions, and has made a profound impact on how I view animals in captivity.
“And I'm not ashamed or regretful. I spent my days loving those who mattered to me. What else is there in life?”
Superbly crafted, I am unable to adequately put into words the power in which this novel has moved me. So beautiful, but heartbreaking at the same time. It's incredible.
Starting out in the aftermath of a private plane crash, we get a novel that is multilayered. It is a mystery, a portrait of lives forever changed by tragedy, and a view of the nature of our modern media. All of this works effortlessly pulling the reader into each page of this terrific novel.
Always excited to receive my Book of the Month Club selections!
"There's no shame in devoting yourself to one person, as long as he devotes himself to you in return".
With natural gas fracking as the novels framework, this is a terrific and entertaining novel with detailed character study that examines the human cost of fracking. Heat and Light is very much a social novel, thought provoking and worth reading.
