This book was so compelling that my husband allowed me to read it to him during a long road trip! We both agreed that it is a great story but that there are parts we just don't believe.

This YA contemporary inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement is a 5 star read. It made me cry, laugh, rage, shout at my car audio system, and sigh over it's adorableness. The story is timely and important, but is also a great page-turner. The characters aren't just good or bad, but rather real people. I absolutely loved it and hope everyone will pick it up.

My current audiobook....it's already made me cry three times. What a powerful story!

I haven't read a YA in so long but this one is hitting me squarely in the feels.

I don't know why I was intimidated by the thought of this book because it is 'rusting' fantastic! Magic based on earthquakes? Yes please. Kick ass and diverse female characters? Absolutely. Chapters told from alternating character perspectives? I am here for that.

Chilling ... Roxane Gay is always giving you a gut punch.

Loving the start of the Liveship Traders trilogy much more than I did the Assassin trilogy about Fitz. So many great female characters in this one!👍🏼

The final book in the Bill Hodges trilogy was another homerun by a master storyteller. There aren't many author that can squick you out and make you cry in the same book. I'm just sorry to have finished my #firstreadoftheyear

This book is giving me all the feels! Although the author had a horrible childhood that makes me sad, the discussions of all the John Hughes films fill my heart with joy. His movies were and ARE my faves with The Breakfast Club being my all time favorite film. ❤️❤️❤️

I received Slade House, my first Mitchell, last year for Christmas from my former boss. I loved it and have since read Cloud Atlas. I plan to read all Mitchell's works now. #booksfromLiberty

Trying to complete the #bookriot Read Harder challenge with this novel from the Decade I Was Born (1970s). This beat up copy came from a church sale. I don't love the copy but the story itself is excellent so far... a lyrical portrait of the west... just gorgeous!

Absolutely loving my current audiobook! The author reads his own work and he has the sexiest voice! I could listen to him read anything but am truly enjoying these ghost stories with a Latin twist.

Took my daughter, two nieces and my mom to see this last night. What a wonderful, magical film!! Loved every bit of it! ❤️
