First of all, I would love to know what you guys think of the book, movie, or both! The book was a unique one for sure. I loved the opening scene she wrote. It was intense and heart breaking. It was a long read, but they‘re were parts I did not want to put it down. I get why it won the Pulitzer Prize! I wanted to go see the movie, even with the bad reviews. But, it‘s only in select theaters. Hopefully I‘ll get to see it soon!

Another Ruth Ware novel! I don‘t find her books to be as dark and mysterious as her first novel, but still enjoy them.

👏This👏book! Highly recommended! Set in today‘s world when “The Power” awakens in girls and women. What if women suddenly could overpower men? Such an intriguing, interesting read. Writing style has a V.E. Schwabe type of feel.

I wasn‘t as impressed by this as I thought I‘d be. 3 Stars. There was just so much going on and so interlinked I really didn‘t find it reasonable.

🌺 The UnHoneymooners has to be my favorite read of 2019, so far. The banter between the two characters played like a romantic comedy in my head. This was a stay up late, don‘t need sleep kind of book. Highly recommend for a good romantic comedy read. It‘s perfect for summer!

When I was 9 my best friend and I set up my uncle and her Au pair. I had overheard my uncle saying she was pretty. I called my friend and she put her au pair on while I told my uncle someone wanted to talk to him. 22 years and two children later. This is obviously not the same as the culture in this book. I cannot imagine the pressures the main character goes through to please her family or the questioning of her own choices.

Just started this beauty. It definitely has some Annihilation vibes.

Listened to this one in a day. I like all of this author‘s work! Brought it again! I was hesitant about the narrator at first, but grew to like it. Recommended!

This book! Not only is it absolutely gorgeous, but I don‘t want to put it down. I‘m taking 20 minutes to myself to read while the sun goes down. Then to work. Do you ever read a book and think it wasn‘t your favorite, but you can‘t get it out of your head? That‘s how Daisy Jones and The Six was for me. Maybe it was the hype, but I wasn‘t in love with this book. Now, I keep thinking about this book. This Artmark was inspired by this book, months later.

I am really craving Harry Potter, but I usually save them for the Autumn season. I love to feel the full experience of the book when reading. For example, I love to read southern books especially romance during the summer. I love to read mystery or thrillers in the spring when everything‘s still a little dark and dreary. Do you save certain books for seasons?

Do you fall in love with the story or writing? .
I find myself falling in love with the writing over the story. Reading Alex and Eliza made me realize thjs. Don‘t get me wrong, I do like the story line, but I love the writing and can not put this baby down!

It has been on my tbr for a long time because I loved the authors other books. I finally picked this up when we went to @bookcon. So glad I did!

🍳Do you like to cook? Do you buy cookbooks? I like to cook. Am I good at it? Not really. But, one of my favorite things to do is cook while listening to an audiobook. Simple recipes save my life. Anyone read The Rook? I really liked it, but used some disturbing language I just couldn‘t get behind. They‘re making a show about it. Not sure how I feel and if I‘ll watch. Thoughts?

Do you garden and listen to audiobooks? These beauties are from my garden. Luckily they were there before we moved in because I do not have a green thumb. I love to just listen to audiobooks and do daily activities. I‘m not a cleaner so it definitely helps. Currently listing to 99 Percent Mine.

What‘s your favorite first line of a book? This is definitely up there for me. I really enjoyed this book. I wasn‘t to sure picking it up, but was pleasantly surprised. If you‘re on the fence about reading it. I recommend giving it a try. At least read the first like. 😂
