Hello and a belated 🥳 Happy New Year Littens!! Last year was a reading/litsy disaster. (Amongst the many other disasters 2020 can be charted up as. But 2021 WILL NOT go the same way. So I need your help as I‘m late to the game- what are the reading challenges doing the rounds this year?? I need to pick one and stick to it! I‘ve missed you all! Xx
Since I‘ve got a lot going on in the week ahead, I‘m keeping my #JubilantJuly Readathon to a reasonable level. I‘m planning to read my #whodunitthesequel book (Devil in a Blue Dress) for the month (my last one! 🎉😩) and my #doublespin book (Devil in Spring) for this month.
Since I‘m a slow reader, I think this will be all I can handle.

I am so excited that I have already surpassed my Goodreads goal for this year; and with a month still to go.
I'm now trying for 61 books. I've been averaging 3-4 books a month.

Didn‘t think I‘d do it this year. I might have to drop my goal down a bit next year to allow for all the reading slumps I inevitably fall into.

Good morning! Just wanted to check Litsy for a moment and post one photochallenge book (had a sudden idea) and now I have a kitten sitting on my back.
I just came across these screen shots in my photos--meant to post them a couple of weeks ago now! I decided I'd update my Goodreads challenge rather than completing it so early. Just before I hit my goal of 75, I bumped it up to 100. And was immediately still 7 books ahead of schedule... 👍🏼 Today Goodreads tells me I'm 10 books ahead. 😁🎉🎈🎊

Today's #SmittenByLittens is a little game I like to call #RandomLitsyLove. It's about to get very random, kids.
UPDATE: I just did this and ended up with 'hf'. Not enough users start with that, so here I go again...I got another set of consonants on my second attempt, so cheated on the third, opened my eyes, added a vowel. So sue me.
So.... here's what my Goodreads challenge looks like currently. I finished another book last night, but haven't recorded it yet. I'm not sure whether I should go ahead and record it and consider the challenge complete, or bump up my total and push myself to finish 100 books by the end of the year (which looks likely). What do you all think? Do you complete early or do you adjust your challenge total?
I think I might need to revise and raise my Goodreads reading #challenge total for the year... I thought 75 would be more of a challenge, but apparently it hasn't been!
My other reading challenges are moving along... 15/26 for #LitsyAtoZ, and I've finished up 3 of the 4 in-progress series that I was planning to complete this year (2.5 really long volumes of Wheel of Time to go). Now if I could just curb that book-buying a bit...

Week 6 of my Read-Those-Library-Books-Already Challenge yielded no finished books. 😱 But I'm still on an average of one per week, and at various stages of these three so it should work out. 😬 I haven't actually opened the Marlon James for weeks, although I keep meaning to.
