4⭐ This was a cute, sweet, and positive children's book. I would have preferred the characters more flushed out, but it's probably about right for this age group. The ending could have been a bit more elaborated on. Overall, a good listen.

This morning, I said goodbye to my beautiful, perfect baby girl. She gave me more than I could ever put into words & she also gave me 5.5 months to get ready to say goodbye, which was the most precious gift of all. I would give anything to spend another day with my furbaby, but I'm more glad she won't spend another day suffering. I am devastated & I'm not sure how much I'll be on here for awhile. This audio performance was incredible. The subtle sounds and music in the background added so much to this. However, this isn't an audiobook you can listen to only partially focused. Every time I was distracted for a moment, I felt like I missed something significant. The book is engaging, but print might be a better format.

I don't ever feel comfortable asking for hugs or even really reaching out when I need them, but somehow, this community feels like where I can. My eldest dog, who has terminal cancer, isn't doing well and hasn't been for almost a week. I'm really sad. When I'm not assessing whether it's time for her, I'm trying to figure out how to stay one step ahead of my puppy. I'm overwhelmed and burnt out. I need just a little bit of 💜 to get through this.

3⭐ This book was hard because I knew the basic concept and most of the book is setting up the big reveal. So in the end, only the last chapter was interesting. I'm glad I read it, but it's hard to recommend knowing that nearly everyone knows the premise and this book doesn't offer much outside that.

3 ⭐ This was a great listen while I figured out how to walk a very old dog and a very young dog together. 😊

First book from #MountTBR This was a strange story which felt incomplete. Maybe it was because I listened to it on audio or because I listened to it while walking the pups, but I felt like I missed something. The performance was incredible.

@ForeverNerdy reminded me that I haven't been on here in forever. Well, this is why. Meet, Toru (pronounced Toh-roo)! He's a 13 week old Corgi and Collie mix I adopted from a rescue. Him and my full grown dog are working on being friends. Toru and I are working on house rules. We're getting along great, but I'm exhausted all the time. He's very smart and keeps me on my toes! #dogsoflitsy

My favorite fantasy series of all time is The Broken Earth series. I reread the first two books in the series before I read the third. I plan on rereading the third book before I reread the whole series. It's so good! (I never reread books)

Apparently Margaret Atwood writes and draws her own comics. Who knew?

This is an interesting mix of comics, prose, and illustrated stories, all nonfiction. There's things here for non-Geek girls as well!

My goal is to read 2 books a week and 3 every other week. I'm nervous about being able to meet it, but since I surpassed that this year, hopefully it shouldn't be too challenging.

I'm not doing any reading challenges this year, but I am committing to reading books I own. I'm on a book buying ban for the whole year.

The thing I'm not sure about is how audiobooks like the Great Courses series, which don't have a book equivalent, are counted towards page totals. I'm guessing they aren't, which is a bit sad considering how many of them I listened to this year. They're between 12 and 18 hours long, so a decent number of pages. Oh well, it's still nice to see the breakdown.
