My favorite bookish Christmas present!!

A precious lifelong friend of mine has been having a time with her MS and decided to raise funds for a electric scooter/chair since shitty US medical insurance won‘t cover such things. It‘s already enhanced her life SO much. I didn‘t contribute much, but along with her thank you note, she included this lovely handmade corner bookmark. 💚 She‘s one of the kindest people I‘ve ever known.

I love crafty friends who know what I love and make me bookmarks to reflect those loves!

I found the cutest bookmark the other day at a craft and vendor fair!! 🤓🤓🤓

Today is the last day to sign up!

On Sunday I went to a local fledgling book festival and had a lovely time. In addition to the three stages for author presentations, food vendors, and information booths from community organizations, there was a craft area for both kids and adults. I decorated a bookmark…because I don‘t already have enough bookmarks. I also decorated a journal and bought some pens and a sticker, because I don‘t have enough of those either. But no tote bag!

Day 19: food. I don‘t have proper bookmarks for this theme, but who needs them when you can use vintage chocolate wrappers! (And restaurant calling cards). I do keep them all in my bookmark box.

Sorting and throwing is my life at the moment.
Found a heap of postcards I collected over a few years in my 20's.
I threw most of them out but I cut a few up to use as bookmarks. I'm always using receipts and odd scraps of paper as bookmarks and God forbid, I sometimes even fold a page corner.
Well no excuses anymore 🙂

Hi @LibrarianRyan - thank you so much for the bookmarks - they‘re great, and such a lovely surprise! I‘m really enjoying #BBRC - it‘s sort-of given me permission to read books of all age - my brother‘s thoroughly confused as to how I know anything about kids books 😉. Went to a warehouse sale today and found these bookmarks, 48 in total, all for $1 🤩 I will now be that house that gives bookmarks on Halloween, and of course some candy! 😉😂

I‘m procrastinating on homework, so I decided to clean out my bookmark drawers (yes, plural...😂) and I think I have a problem...this isn‘t counting my magnetic bookmarks and the random pictures and drawings my kids have given me that I use as well...😂🙄🤷🏻‍♀️
