Such a wonderful history!

I'm got two versions of the book, one from 2012 and the other from 1970... I love both covers, but the translation from the second one is more formal and in a complicated Spanish writing to be understood, I'm find a little hard but is interesting to see how the way to use a language can change time by time.

Looking for something to share about Turkey, I found two great restaurants to try.
One is Turco, in my neighbourhood, just round the corner where I live, and the other one, Ali Ocakbaşı walking half an hour!
Both seem to offer authentic Turkish dishes.
On my list when back from summer holiday!

One of the most famous cocktail with tomatoes is the Bloody Mary, invented in 1921, by Fernand Petiot.

Now try this easy nonalcoholic version from the cookbook La cocina española:
TOMATO COCKTAIL
Prepare in a cocktail shaker: a few pieces of ice. Natural tomato juice. A little bit of celery salt. A little bit of common salt.
Shake well and serve very cold.

Food trucks are inspired by centuries-old food carts dating back to the 17th century, and in 1936, Wienermobile became the first official modern food truck.

I'm reading Afrodite from the impressive Isabel Allende, a Chilean writer.
That book is about afrodisiac ingredients and recipes, and almost of them are notes telling her experiences, plenty of sensuality, and erotism.

One of her more important books even becomes a movie as The house of the spirits and Of love and shadows.

1987, The ballad of sad cafe

Coffee as cocktail base, mix with others ingredients, sure will make your night... or daylong!
It's a so sweet book, just a few pages but with truely great information about coffee, besides funny facts, poetry, other helpful content and some easy recipes.

Great occasion to tell how amazing this book is. It have many short stories with wine as protagonist. Even the colours of text and the wonderful illustration was inspired in this drink!
My favorite one is a sy-fy relat with a surprising end!

But depending on the country, it is quite difficult to find food. For Egypt for example I just found one, Keufta, fish fritters.

This is the first book I caught this year. A collection of recipes based in fisherman dishes from Costa Brava Catalonia. It includes many stories from the people that inspired this recipes and live his whole live in that sea and the villages nearby. It sounds me a memorable book.

I wandering the meaning of Kasarap and saw it means 'delicious' and with the word pag (pagkasarap) means 'delicacy'... Lovely!
