I'd lose a few if I took out that many but, go Wake County Public Libraries for this gem!
I'm joining @LazyDays for #thegreatwideopen swap! Camping is my jam (when I can drag my husband out to go with me). And yes, I've read Wild. 😂😂

This book. Husband brought it home Thursday. I finished it at 11:58pm that same day. Great transitions, excellent character development and some unexpected surprises.
I love book 1, like book 2 and honestly suffer through book 3. Shame she couldn't have put the thought and effort into 2 and 3 (especially 3) that she did into 1. I know they're supposed to be easy beach reads but, come on. I won't say any more so I don't have to set a spoiler alert. 🙄
The now-6-year old's favorite book as a baby/toddler was Peek-a Who. Favorite part? Peek a YOU! #boardbookbonanza @ErinSueG @WhiskeyMistress
The positive thing about tonight's bout of insomnia is I have Amos Decker ready to go in the kindle...
This book was amazing, but torture to read since I can't drink wine while reading!!
I'm reading. Little one is listening to Magic Treehouse. We're both waiting for the pretzel dough to rise....
My inlaws recently moved to town and my husband went to visit. He brought home this book from my MIL. I squealed because I need a new book and he rolled his eyes at me! My husband is NOT a reader. He doesn't get it.
What a great book! It also gave me an addition to our list of baby names.
The ending really went along with the lack of depth of character. I feel like I wasted a day reading this one. 😒
This is how I do breakfast and lunch prep for our ONE child.
The book? Keeping my interest.
I used to work in television (still sort of do) so I love to read novels about that side of life. AND if you were wondering, anchors have the life. Get in at 4. We would get in at 2 to start show prep. 😴
This summer has been full of surprises and vacations. I've traveled a lot for work and for play with the family. And in all that traveling time, I have read. A LOT. We drove to Florida from NC to visit the mouse and we flew cross country to visit my brother and his family. It's been an amazing adventure for our family of 3, as we wait to become a family of 4. My list of books won't fit in here so, to the comments we go.
Littens, I'm not on here a lot but I know my friend @aschermetz is and a lot of you have gotten to know her. She's an avid reader, a kind and generous soul and a mom. Right now her newborn Jack is in the NICU and she's struggling with all of it. Can we get together some Listy love to let her know we're all rooting for her and Jack and her husband and 5 year old Matthew? ❤️
My husband brought home my library holds today and I almost panicked at the size of Beartown. Then I noticed this ... "large print edition." Now I'm torn between putting a regular copy on hold and waiting forever for it or suffering through the large print book...
Holy crap.
I thought this book was good, it held my attention, Eleanor fascinated me.... and then it ended. I certainly wasn't expecting that. I may have a new favorite book of 2018, once I process it for a while.
My copy finally came in, @LitsyBuddyRead @Jess7 @MinDea! Snacking on some Wisconsin cheese and curds while I catch up! #litsybuddyread
I think this book and I will get along just fine. #pantiesisadirtyword
Reading while I wait for @aschermetz to pick me up. TO PICK ME UP! We're meeting for the first time since "meeting" online many, many years ago!!!
My husband got me the 8 Harry Potter audio books. Jim Dale is ahhhmazing!! @aschermetz great recommendation for the narrator!
@CoffeeCatsBooks is hosting a #payitforward giveaway for hitting 25k litfluence! Amazing! Here's my favorite animal...my old kitty Raven on the right with my pup Thumper on the left. Raven is by far my favorite (cat person here). They used to love playing together, and fighting over sun spots. Raven is still around, he just had to move to my parents house because my husband is allergic. 😑
I just had to share this amazing card and thank you gift from @Librarybelle. The card is so cool! I have the perfect place for the pin, too. Thank YOU for the thank you card and gift. 😚 #thankyou #litsy
"This is required reading." I agree. It is powerful and important and eye-opening. My brother gave me this book for Christmas. I'm glad he did.
Have you read it?
1. Driving. Always driving.
2. Overdrive (library)
3. Sped up. Not a lot but enough so it's not a slog.
4. My favorite narrator is typically the author.
5. Nope. 😂
The tagged book is my current audio book.
So, which one is it? No name or seven names? I love that these are next to one another in my kindle.
Well, I finished it and all I have to say is it's a darn good thing I have wine and girl scout cookies. There are a lot of wet pages at the end of that book. I don't even know what to say yet.
@amyg @jsw @Samplergal @Eggs you were right. This is juicy. I'm on husband #5 and have no idea how this book will end in 104 pages...
Not only do I love the "husband chapters" but also am so intrigued by this, "I have no idea that in less than a week, Evelyn Hugo will finish her story, and I'll find out what this is all about, and I will hate her so much that I'll be truly afraid I might kill her."
Someone tell me this will be a good book once I get past page 1? I can't seem to get past it... I'm stuck on an airplane with a low battery so it's my only choice.
Someone was selling the complete set of hard cover Harry Potter at the local consignment sale for $10!!! If only I had been there... What a steal!
People of Litsy, I need your help! My proposal for a Little Free Library in our community has been approved! I'd like to put bookish quotes on 2 sides. Would you mind sharing your favorite book quotes with me? If we choose your quote, I'll send you a small thank you gift in the mail and will obviously report back with pictures when it's up and running!
Thank you for your help! (picture stolen from LFL website!)
Litsy friends, has anyone read this? A dear friend is considering reading it but it hits close to home - her 30 year old husband was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer just over a year ago. He went through chemo and is now cancer free. That being said, she's nervous about picking it up. I'm going to read it for her but also want your opinions! Is it worth reading?
@Librarybelle is doing a giveaway for hitting 50k litfluence! Crazy town. And to think... I just found you! I'd like to read another book with the word "wife" in the title. ? #50k1k ... thank you for the opportunity!
A friend took me to Les Miserables tonight. This cast was amazing. Jean Valjean was absolutely amazing. Such a fun night!
⭐Yes! Always. And my husband is a Pats fan.
⭐40 and rainy
⭐I'm in between right now. I can't get into any that I'm currently reading and can't figure out what to pick up next.

It's #muglove time!! I love the mug so much and yes... It's huge and my fingers fit, as you hoped. 😂 Also, I get half the coffee pot in this bad boy!
Confession time... I opened this early this morning and used the mug for morning coffee and now... I lost the card. I freaking lost the card...🙈 So, whoever you were, my thoughtful Litsy gifter who customized this just for me, do you mind revealing yourself so I can stop feeling like a dope? 😊😚
And so begins another Tess Monaghan book. I love this series. I grew up in the Baltimore area and love reading about landmarks, streets and restaurants that are familiar.
A short book, the story was first written as a series in the New York Times and then made into book form.
Tagging #booked2018 for #4: Cozy Mystery @BarbaraTheBibliophage @Cinfhen @4thhouseontheleft
Halfway through this one and realized I can mark off a #booked2018 selection! #2 POC Author. I don't typically like celebrity memoirs but this one is pretty good. The wine, on the other hand? Horrible. It's being dumped, it's that bad.
This book is fascinating. My daughter's therapist recommended it to us and then I found it at the resource library at our church. I am not a big self-help book fan but this one, while there are a few eye-rolling moments, is on the whole a very enlightening book. I'd recommend all parents read it. Even if you just scan the pictures, they just make sense.
This book would be fantastic if I was more interested in weather patterns. I may or may not have skipped some pages that didn't have anything to do with the first hand experiences of the blizzard. 🙈
Nothing like the last minute... It's finally headed out the door and will (hopefully) get there in 2 days. Here comes #muglove @TheKidUpstairs
This book was my day trip airplane book today. It was... it was OK. Character development wasn't all there. An almost eyeball-rolling, anticipated story. A small, sad surprise that didn't really seem to fit in. It wasn't bad enough to dump but I wouldn't read it again.
This book is going to haunt me forever and I'm only 1/3 of the way through.
The Express Book Bag. @MallenNC mentioned this a week ago & I was in the process of trying it at the same time. My experience:
I've read Little Beach Street and loved it. I'll even re-read this one.
Salt to the Sea sounds right up my alley. I'm very excited to start that one!
As for The Keeper of Lost Causes? I like that my librarian picked the first in a series for me to try. She must have noted the many series I mentioned.

#husbandsoflitsy update: he decided to move on to another audio book. Apparently this one was a bit busy for a first audio book. Too much jumping around and the narrator wasn't super easy to understand. Any suggestions for another audio book for him? I am thinking a Michael Connelly book?
Gratuitous picture of our North Carolina snowman. We don't get snow like this very often so we are so excited!
I recently introduced my non-reader husband to audio books. The first one he picked was The Snowman. He is on a plane this morning and texted me, "are all books this graphic??" I haven't read it but apparently he's talking about a sex scene at the beginning. With that, he might be hooked. ??
I thought about joining in on the #annakareninareadalong but when I brought the beast down from the shelf, I chickened out. I found it on overdrive! While the narrator is a bit shrill, I'm really enjoying the narration. Anyone else listening to this one? I'm way behind, but working to catch up!
#annakareninavirgin
You guys! Robert Crais is going to be at my bookstore tonight. And I can't gooooooo! 😢
