While traveling, I love to visit Little Free Libraries. I chose this book for the grandkids. Although I couldn‘t tag it, it appears to be similar to Mary Poppins but the Aunt shares the bag with Sophia.

I think it only took me three years to install a little free library in front of my library. Books are provided by donations and a fantastic regional group called the South Sound Reading Foundation. If you live in South West Washington USA🇺🇲 look them up. They are awesome.

I found the ultimate Little Free Library on my bike ride! It‘s a memorial to two readers who I assume were the proprietor‘s parents, and it‘s got separate compartments for kidlit, adult books, and media.
It's #lflweek. We've had ours almost a year, and I've loved every moment of it. Just last week my daughter was outside and 3 children started asking her questions. "Do we need to bring the books back?" Nope, they're yours to keep. "Do we need to bring a book to trade?" No. And then the littlest says "do you BUY all the books?" They all left with a ? and some bookmarks, and my heart was filled with joy when my daughter told me about it. ❤️
There were a couple of new Little Free Libraries along my bike route! This was my favourite.
We are go for launch here at our LFL. Henry helped me set up the books. I've since added a few more plus a box of assorted colorable bookmarks. I'm so excited. I really hope our neighbors love to read.

My LFL should be totally installed and ready for books tomorrow afternoon. I'm thinking we'll do a grand opening sort of thing Saturday. Any suggestions for non-book items I should put in for this weekend, like bookmarks?
I took a looooooong Victoria Day bike ride this morning and found three Little Free Libraries! This one had the prettiest sky behind it.
I've been dreaming of having a little free library for years. Yesterday, my husband asked if I still wanted to do it, and of course I said yes. So, looks like I'll be getting this one soonish. BIG Yay!! 😁

Still a long way to go, but got a start roughing out my lending library today. Going to chip away at it over the next few months so it is ready to go for spring when the ground thaws enough to put in the support post.
I finally have a Little Free Library!! I am so excited. I stocked it up more this morning after I took this with Most of my Jodi Picoult collection that I am never going to read, among other things. 😂
Great news, everyone! After almost a long hiatus, my #LittleFreeLibrary in Tallahassee is open for business again. I‘m so excited, I just had to share with all my Litsy friends.

My town recently installed several Little Free Libraries (hooray!) but I suspect the locations were not selected by a reader. This one is near the community garden, which is only used 6 months of the year. Another one was placed along a walking trail with no nearby parking. Guess books will be my new walking partner!

I got back from Asheville a little bit ago & didn‘t have time to post these earlier. Even though Malaprops was closed, I still got to visit my favorite Black Mountain store—Sassafrass on Sutton. They have a cute LFL out front. We also saw the LEGO sculptures at the Arboretum. The spider wasn‘t my favorite, but it made me think of Halloween. The sculptures are always amazing. Asheville was doing such a great job with covid rules! #scarathlon

Saw the prettiest Little Free Library today. I was with a friend who said she often picks up children‘s books for her co-worker‘s son. I told her that was great but wondered if she puts books in them as well. She doesn‘t - not always anyway. 🤦♀️ 🤦♀️

Our little free library is done! We are just waiting for the plaque. Then, it will be registered and available for use!
Second part done of our little free library. Mod podged the book covers on. Two sides, back and roof (purple). Do you see a favorite book? Next a clear coat and waiting for the registration sign.
Almost done! Some touch ups and then tomorrow we are adding the book covers along with a top coat and the plastic front.
