Over the last 3 yrs I‘ve been recommending every audiobook I‘ve wanted to my library that they didn‘t own. Since the pandemic they decided to build up their collection. Because I must have been 1st to recommend most of them I was put 1st on hold for them. This is only from the first & 2nd waves. I‘m now still up at over 400 after much sorting, delaying & deleting ones I‘ve already listened to. I guess I have a lot more to go! 🤷‍♀️ Insanity! 🤪

He has COPD so that complicates things. Right now he‘s just on oxygen. Hopefully he won‘t need to be put on a ventilator. Thanks again. I just kinda needed to vent a little. 5y

ReadingRover @LibrarianRyan Yes! She‘s the scarecrow. The characters are all gender swapped and the whole story is tweaked so it‘s not a straight retelling which is why I liked it. It‘s not the best thing I‘ve read but it‘s a fun guilty pleasure kind of read. Kind of outrageous but it ends up working. @JenlovesJT47 just a heads up there‘s a bunch of sex thrown in so be forewarned. It‘s not an erotic novel but it‘s there. The other books don‘t have as much. ⤵️ (edited) 5y

ReadingRover But in this one the main character is a Kansas cowboy 🤠 playboy so he basically gets a hard on for all the girls. 😆 the more I‘m explaining it the more ridiculous it sounds but it‘s a fun book. Though I do prefer the wonderland one I listened to over this one. It was more character driven. 5y

ReadingRover @RadicalReader I actually used to never even eat chocolate. Also I have no self control so when I discovered this I ate a ton of it. I had a physical a few weeks later & they did bloodwork. They said I had to come back &be retested b/c I had a very high magnesium level. They didn‘t understand why. It turned out to be the freakin chocolate!!! Dark chocolate is super high in magnesium! Now I have to limit myself! 😝 6y

kamoorephoto The Theo chocolate is made here in Seattle at this tiny chocolate ‘factory‘ in Fremont, and you can do tours and taste all their yummies; I love all their chocolate. I figured you needed to add to your list of sea salted chocolate favorites. I will now have to try Sahale nuts too! 6y

ReadingRover No I found out about it through a Goodreads group that I‘m a part of. I loved it. If you‘re not sure if you will like it, what I do is I look for the kindle version and then see if the audible add on is cheaper than just getting the audiobook. Sometimes you can get them both together for a lot less. 6y

NatalieR I took the same vacation in September! Sedona is fabulous!! Lots of great shops and hiking. I recommend visiting the vortexes;Bell Rock is my favorite. All of the locals are friendly and happy to make recommendations. Have a great trip! 6y

ferskner I'm from Arizona! Sadly, I've only been to Sedona once, but Prescott and Jerome are both old mining towns that have turned into little art colonies. They're great! In Phoenix, I'd recommend a hike in Papago Park (it's where Hole in the Rock is), or going up South Mountain at dusk to see the entire Valley light up. Scottsdale has a bookstore called the Poisoned Pen, my home of Tempe has Changing Hands, and Mesa has Bookman's. All three are AWESOME. 6y

ferskner I think a lot of weird older stuff in Phoenix has been torn down, unfortunately, but I'll try to think of some interesting corners that might still exist. I haven't lived there in 12 years though, so I'm not sure what will still be around. I'll give it some thought! 6y

ReadingRover @tpixie Yes definitely bring a rolling suitcase to keep in baggage to stash your books when you come off the floor then you can keep going back to collect some more. Lol I sound like Dr Seuss! For hotels I guess it depends on your price point. I live outside the city so I usually drive in. I always wait till the last second to plan out my schedule- granted in the end I end up tossing it and going rogue but it‘s nice to know I tried! Gissy I saw you had a lot of retellings in your tbr so I thought there is a girl inside her, that is why I chose the topic of Narnia for the art print and the coasters. The tote bag and the mug are just related with winter. 6y

ReadingRover @Gissy The coasters are sooo pretty! I‘m already using them. They‘re out for Christmas! I also love the nutcracker with his tiny working jaw. My grandma used to work at a factory that made wooden ornaments and decorations. It reminds me of those. I used to collect all different ones. Gave me such a warm feeling! (edited) 6y
