This was so delightful. Great on audio.

This sweet story was a loose retelling of Sense and Sensibility, set in modern day Austin, Texas. I enjoyed it on its own merits, and after the first few chapters, forgot to look for similarities with the original. A light fun read, with enough surprises to give it some depth.

Celebrating #GalentinesDay for several days lately, knitting together and visiting tearooms with @Talewaggingreads , a dear old friend, and a new one. #FeelintheLove @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @eggs
I wasn't blown away but I enjoyed reading this. The author successfully modernized the book, the contemporary setting felt realistic and believable. Jane (the Marianne character) and Callum (Col. Brandon) worked well as viewpoint characters, their first-hand experiences added to the story.

Overall, it was a nice read, but nowhere near as entertaining or insightful as the original. #JaneAustenThenAndNow
Did I mostly come to this book because I wanted to gaze at Wendy McNaughton's always delightful illustrations? Yes. Was I absolutely charmed by the straightforward information on tea history, variations, and culture? Oh, absolutely. A charming book that covers a wide range in quick time.
I've been having a lot of bad days lately and today was no exception. In the past, I would console myself with a trip to the bookstore where I would spend way too much money. Since I'm doing #ShelfLove this year and have an extremely limited budget, I decided to go to the library instead and check out more books than I can get through in 2 weeks (I also have 2 other books checked out already). It was just as comforting, but 100% free.
I absolutely adored this audiobook! Definitely my cup of tea. 😉
It is a very very foggy frosty Sunday morning here is Southend. We have escaped the snow (thank goodness) and have had some cold days. This morning was a beautiful walk in the Frost and fog. Home now with a big cup of tea and a thriller to dive into

This foodie #Friendship book has been in my TBR for ages. I remember my mom getting Amish friendship bread, the recipe & starter from a neighbor once & she went through a phase of sharing it with friends & family.💙🍞💙
My first finish for #auldlangspine2025. This was such a great pick @DGRachel
I loved this world of tea dragons! It made me smile, reflect and appreciate the work the authors put into the story and graphics. I look forward to returning to the tea dragon world.
