This was really good, I was into it. Steampunk Red Riding Hood where “Little Red” fights werewolves, vampires, and monsters alike. Super fast paced and action packed. My only complaint was that it wasn‘t longer! Will definitely keep reading the series and check out of some Melanie‘s other work. 4.25/5

As usual it was hard to get into one of these novellas. Overall I did enjoy the Dorothy Must Die series, but the novellas were not particularly enjoyable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast.

While a lot of the story is familiar (being a retelling of course) there are some interesting additions like dreaming of long corridors, green witches, sorcerers, starlight creatures, and visions, which I am fairly sure aren‘t in the original versions!

I personally think it would take more than a few nights of stilted conversation to fall in love with someone, but it was still an enjoyable listen ☺️

The crowd caught sight of us, and everyone sent up a cheer; Greatheart and his brother neighed and stamped, and above it all rang the wild music of bells and pipes and horns.
