I enjoyed reading this one. It shares similarities with the first book, The Pumpkin Spice Cafe, as it focuses on a specific couple and their dating journey. The narrative revolves around the “will they or won‘t they” theme, but it also stands out for its heavier emphasis on romance and milder mystery compared to the first book.

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.

Thanks to @monalyisha for finding my bookish match and setting us all up to read some excellent books in January for #auldlangspine. @BarkingMadRead has great taste in books, and I‘m especially excited to pick up A Good Girl‘s Guide to Murder (a beloved choice by my students), Well Met (which has been sitting in my kindle forever), and The Count of Monte Cristo (should‘ve read it a long time ago). Happy Reading!

The three rating choices are just not sufficient for my feelings about this book. Will try to say more later. Right now I'm rereading the ending, because I read it on Ambien. 😂

#midwintersolace This will typically be a Friday post but I will be limited in posting this Friday- Open to everyone!! I love seeing the nature books everyone is reading!

I put off reading this book for a long time because I figured it would be too sad. But #QueerBC made me pick it up & I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Yes, there are heavy themes of death & grief, and the title doesn't lie. But overall the feeling of hope prevails. I loved the found family elements, and the way smaller interconnected stories were weaved throughout showing how our lives impact the world around us in ways we don't realize

Two of my favourite words: snow day!
Finished this YA thriller last night. Kelsey‘s mother goes missing from their fortress-like house. That‘s weird because her mom hasn‘t left the house in 17 years. Then masked men show up and all hell breaks loose, sweeping Kelsey and her potential new “love” interest up in some made-for-teens action. It was okay, but not memorable.
