Margaret, Viv, Charlotte and Bitsy, start a book club in 1963, and their first book is The Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan. The book will change the course of all their lives. 1963 in Concordia, Virginia is exactly what you would think. HM Elizabeth II is in the midst of a lot of traveling to other countries when in her own backyard, there is a double murder and the police can‘t seem to figure it out. After enlisting Joan, a typist, she finally has someone to bounce her ideas off to. Joan is sent around to find clues that the cops keep overlooking. ⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣6️⃣3️⃣

8-30-25: My 59th finished book of 2025! When Avery Wooler goes missing many people are caught in lies to save their own skin. Her father has a secret he doesn‘t want to get out. Her mother is clueless as to what her father has been up to. The boy up the street might be involved but there is no proof, only an anonymous tip from a woman. Who that woman is will surprise you. She has been pining over someone and Avery missing is fueling her agenda.

8-27-25: My 58th finished book of 2025! Definitely a page turner with a great surprise ending. Avery is a “consultant” for therapeutic purposes.She was a therapist but lost her license and rebranded.Her new patients, Matthew and Marissa, have come to her to fix their marriage. She only does 10 sessions per patient/patients. This couple proves to be very different from her usual clients.A startling announcement from Marissa causes things to shift.

8-19-25: My 56th finished book of 2025! Great concept! Ash has lost her dad and is watching her mom be swept off her feet by this new guy named Nick. Something doesn‘t feel right about him. So Ash does some digging and what she comes up with is way more than she bargained for. Nick is smarmy, his character oozes off the page. In 1965 a fortune teller gives Frances a terrible premonition. Due to tragic events some time later, Frances will forever believe that someday she will be murdered. 8-10-25:My 53rd finished book of 2025!Book 2 in the Killers of a Certain Age series.4 assassins in there mid 60s, retired to their 4 corners of the world until their handler calls them in to do another job for The Museum.An assassination that happened many years ago, made by these women is rearing its head again in the form of the dead man‘s children.The women have to find them and figure out what to do with them before they are picked off.

8-7-25: My 52nd finished book of 2025! Think Love Island kind of meets The Hunger Games but not quite. Not as violent but just as cutthroat. Lily is the first to arrive. She just wakes up there. Then the other 9 girls and 3 days later 9 boys arrive from the desert. They compete for prizes they can use around the compound but also do personal tasks for their own stuff. As people are banished, Lily must figure out how to be the last one standing.

8-2-25: My 51st finished book of 2025! A prequel to The Hunger Games series, this tale tells the story of Coriolanus Snow, the eventual president of Panem. He is likable and detestable in equal measure. When he is chosen to be a mentor in the 10th Hunger Games, the first time a mentor was used, he receives a tribute in Lucy Gray Baird, a singer and show-woman, who might just lead him to victory and love if it can show him a better way of life.

7-27-25: My 50th finished book of 2025! For the majority of this book we are learning everything from the perspective of Blake. High powered executive, engaged to beautiful Krista, living in a brownstone on the Upper West Side. His life is perfect, until it isn‘t. As things start to fall apart, Blake and Krista decide to bring a tenant into their home to make some extra money. Little by little, Blake‘s entire world will collapse. Is it the tenant?

7-24-25: My 49th finished book of 2025! Wow I really enjoyed this one! It‘s written backwards. Literally goes through the years from 2023 to 1984 in reverse. Wendy and Thom are a married couple. How they became who they are is very interesting but I can‘t give anything away. I‘ll just say the last page is a huge aha moment that circles back to the beginning. Love that! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣4️⃣9️⃣

7-20-25: My 48th finished book of 2025!This one was a love letter to San Francisco in the early 90s and noir films.Walter has moved to SF to learn to love a life of joy. Enter Cary a debonair female in a suit and Sasha her gay, gamine boyfriend. They are creative types and Walter falls for them immediately.For the next few years they are inseparable and Walter, a gay man himself, questions his identity often. Clever usage of noir films as titles.

7-12-25: My 47th finished book of 2025! Webster is young EMT when he goes on a call that will change his life forever. This is where he meets Sheila after she‘s driven her car into a tree, drunk. After her recovery he makes it a point to visit her to make sure she is doing ok. As their relationship evolves they are faced with a surprise. 18 years later they will come together to see that surprise survive something horrific. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣4️⃣7️⃣

7-9-25: my 46th finished book of 2025! It‘s been a good year of memoir reading for me. I‘ve loved Al Pacino since as far back as I can remember. The Godfather was on in my house constantly. I‘ve been following his career and to be able to hear about it in his own words really brought it to life. Rough upbringing, sick mom, South Bronx lifestyle and through it all he became a movie star. He doesn‘t seem full of himself. He just loves his art.

7-5-25: My 45th finished book of 2025! After a kiss just for show, Dr. Adam Carlson and PH.d student Olive, embark on a fake dating situation that will help them both with outside issues. But what about the issues inside themselves? Women in STEM is a big part of what this book covers. That and falling for someone you shouldn‘t. It was less steamy than the last Hazelwood and more deep thoughts. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣4️⃣5️⃣

7-2-25: My 44th finished book of 2025! From two of the actresses of The L Word on Showtime, this book delves into their lives before during and after the show aired. It‘s definitely a love letter to those struggling with their sexuality and those desperately trying to come out to their families and the world. I loved The L Word when it aired back in 2004 and am thinking of revisiting it now. I‘m also going to listen to their podcast Pants!

6-28-25: My 43rd finished book of 2025! This turned out way different than it started. Joseph seems to be saying three different girls at the same time. Jane the bookish woman who works in a charity shop, Siobhan, the life coach from Dublin and Miranda the tree surgeon. After a few Valentine‘s Day mishaps a different story unfolds full of love, kindness and loss. Taking place between 2015 and 2021, it was a book I‘d recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣4️⃣3️⃣

6-24-25: My 42nd finished book of 2024! Happy couple Luke and Cam seem to live an ideal life. Until one day, Luke does something unthinkable and Cam gets pulled into the drama. Cut to 7 years later and Cam is trying to put the pieces back together. Great story. Definitely a good twist. Likable flawed characters. Publishing world and love of reading by Cam a plus. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣4️⃣2️⃣

6-18-25: My 41st finished book of 2025! Barbara is our narrator and she takes us through her life from right after World War II to her present day which is somewhere in the 1970s. Losing her mother at a young age, her scientist father ships her off to her aunt Marie for safe keeping. Upon graduating high school Barbara knows he wants to be in the arts. Upon moving to NYC she starts acting and her career slowly takes off. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣4️⃣1️⃣

6-15-25: My 40th finished book of 2025! I like Hendrix‘s books. They are weird and fun usually. This one was weird but also very sad. A 15 year old girl named Neva is brought to a home for pregnant unwed girls. Stick there for 3 months she must give birth and give up her child for adoption. It‘s the rule. In between that sorrow are witches. A book given to Neva and her friends turns deadly when they decide to use it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣4️⃣0️⃣

6-8-25: My 39th finished book of 2025! Phoebe, a divorced professor, travels to the Cornwall Inn in Rhode Island to splurge on herself. Depressed and at the end of her rope she encounters the wedding people. Gathered at the Inn for Lila and Gary‘s wedding week. 6-5-25: My 38th finished book of 2025! Charlotte and Viva. Mother and daughter flitting around the country in a VW van that‘s seen better days. Living moment to moment without knowing the future. Except Viva has an ability to dance. When they finally settle down Viva can study in earnest and it is what gets her away from her mother, but Viva will always go back to help.
