•Ultimately I liked the story…despite the knife-play scene (ugh, is this a thing?). Also, the characters came off as unrealistic and seriously obsessed with sex/dirty talk. And yet, it ended up entertaining me, what can I say, clearly I‘m a sucker for duet narration…because Elena Wolfe and Jacob Morgan killed it.

Another dark romance recommended by friends, why do I take their recs anymore, lol. Completely unhinged, but still entertaining and I didn‘t stop reading it. Cat and mouse, but make it spicy. So spicy that I would be very embarrassed if my mom picked from my bookshelf. Book #11 in 2025

For January my spicy pick was Lights Out. It really feeds into the whole Masked Men of TikTok phase and was hilariously funny. I absolutely adored Josh, even if he is a bit crazy.

Going back to work is going to seriously impede my reading and I am not looking forward to it.

My favorite reads of the year 🥰

THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD! And absolutely filthy. I don‘t really do dark romance, but someone posted a clip of the audio (it‘s a duet, which is rare) & I was like “oooh is this funny, I didn‘t know it was funny” & the Male narrator (Jacob Morgan) 🥵 so hot. highly recommend the audio in particular but the book is amazing in general. So steamy, moments of humor, moments of heart & vulnerability, hurt/comfort, all the good stuff.

This is the funniest dark romance ever. Definitely lots of content warnings but the characters are also wickedly funny! Spicy for sure and not for the faint of heart! Not sure I would have kept reading but the #audio was fantastic! I would listen to the male narrator read just about anything. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

If you liked Brynne Weaver's Butcher & Blackbird and Lark & Leather then you will most likely enjoy this book with its mile long list of trigger warnings at the start. Humour, heart, kink! It's got all of these and more in spades. Can't wait for the next book!

I was marked at “several months” on Libby for this hold when it surprisingly came through the other day. 🙌 I think this book is worth the hype, I really loved it. I think a lot of ppl are intimidated by the long trigger warning list for list one. But I think this book is on the same level as Butcher and Blackbird. Josh is the most cinnamon roll of Dark Romance MMCs IMO. 🥰🔪 #SeriesLove2024 #ReadAway2024

This book was SO MUCH FUN!! The only thing I didn‘t like were the sexytimes. I‘d really like someone to write a dark romantic comedy, with just regular vanilla sexytimes.

October wrap up! 👻 All good books, but Sleep Tight definitely won the month!

My Month was so chaotic, that if I didn't have #AudioBooks I wouldn't have been able to enjoy as many books as I did. With school, I have such a hard time reading (even though I really miss it), so #AudioCommute and #AudioChores are sacred times for me as well :)
