I rarely cussed until around 2019. Maybe because I turned 60, or because the end of that year was horrible and then 2020 came along with its own set of things 🤷🏻‍♀️. And to be honest I still don‘t cuss a whole lot but a well placed 💩, f*ck, damn does wonders. Nice to have a word to justify my profane word usage. 😂

#WeirdWords

@CBee

marleed Well, I was a civilian working for the DoD my whole career so I‘m proficient in profanity. Growing up we never would have considered a curse word in conversation with my dad (single parent). The benefit is that I am able to judge a room and deliver my f-bombs to a receptive audience. But there are times when there is nothing like a well placed f*ck to relieve stress🤣 20h
Daisey What a fun word! 19h
TheSpineView Love this word! 19h
See All 11 Comments
CBee Great word! I agree - I don‘t cuss a lot but when I do it‘s usually warranted and cathartic! 18h
ShelleyBooksie This is a fantastic word! I tend to only cuss while driving and it 100% matches the definition - hehe 18h
Bklover It must be an age thing! I‘ve cursed a LOT more since I turned 60. Great word!! 18h
Prairiegirl_reading I‘ve always been kind of a sailor when it comes to swearing. It is good for the soul. When I met my husband he said “I never thought I‘d meet a girl who swears as much as I do.” 🤣🤣 17h
Aims42 I‘m also not a huge swear-er but I do enjoy weaving a tapestry of curses from time to time 😂 It is very cathartic 😌🤗 17h
Sparklemn I mutter “For f*ck‘s sake” to myself a lot. A LOT! 😆 14h
mrp27 I never used profane language much until I moved to and lived in New York. Now the f word is one of my most used words. It is the best stress relief. Obviously I check the room before I let my profanity fly. 😂 14h
TheLudicReader I love a well placed F bomb, I have to say! Plus, I read somewhere that people who swear are more intelligent…so, yeah, let‘s say that‘s actually true! 😂 9h

This follow up to Count the ways was everything I didn‘t know I needed until I started reading. Between the two books is a family saga with all the ups and downs, wins and losses, etc. Told in mostly short chapters it is a fast read. Loved it!

Read for #TransRightsReadathon. My first choice was Meet Cute Diary which I had to DNF as it was way to YA for my 65 year old brain 😂

The beauty of the Alaskan wilderness is on full display here in this modern take on the Beauty and the Beast fairytale. Although Birdie has community support raising her daughter she feels stifled by their always watching eyes. When Arthur offers her an opportunity to live in solitude, nature and maybe even love, it seems like the answer she‘s needed to make a positive change for her and Emaleen. 3.5🌟

I know you are thinking there is nothing weird about empathy and you are right, we all know the word and understands its meaning. But it is a word and action that is now being criticized and used as if it were evil. When I hear Christians say that to empathize is unchristian I don‘t even have the words to address how far away from Christianity you are that you believe that.

With the current political chaos I‘m leaning into books that are lighter in tone. I doubt I will remember much about it in the long term. My other book was The Bell Jar. It will stay with me longer but hard to say I enjoyed it. 💔 1mo

Happy Birthday! | Mamoru Suzuki

A belated birthday post for @Mimi28

This is one of our two cats, Dahlia. She has not been a happy camper since we added Pippin (our 9 month old black pug)to the family. After a vet visit and some good drugs she is back to being her normal amount of neurotic. Here she is after Pippin has gone to bed cuddling up to his favorite toy.

Hope you had a wonderful day 💚
