I needed this book as soon as I read the summary. It‘s everything I want. Give me more gender-reversed fairy tales with a side of WLW romance, please. It‘s not perfect, but it‘s pretty damn close. The banter is funny, the characters are well-developed, and the romance plot lines don‘t seem too forced despite a bit of insta-love… I‘m looking forward to seeing all the relationships deepen in the sequel, including the friendship between Fi and Shane.
Great worldbuilding, plot, and characters. The twists are a bit predictable but I love fairy tale retellings so much.
What if Sleeping Beauty had to be woken by a cursed historian and a runaway treasure hunting princess? Filore & Shane partner up to find treasure and break a 100 year curse.
An interesting take on a traditional fairytale. Info dump heavy in the first 1/2, but starts to pick up speed. I liked the friendship between our two main characters, & I appreciated that destiny & true love were separate from each other. But an unsatisfying ending.🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑
It arrived today @Johanna414 starting it tomorrow seeing I am almost done with A Court of Silver Flames. @ozma.of.oz @Bookwormjillk #LMPBC @suvata
Just finished this with very mixed feelings... it was just ok. I'll get it in the mail sometime this week! #lmpbc @Endowarrior21 @Bookwormjillk @ozma.of.oz
So here's what I'm thinking for this round of #lmpbc- have you read any of these? Anything you would especially like to read, or object to? The last one isn't necessarily a fairy tale retelling but I think has fairy tale vibes?

1. The Bone Spindle, Tender, The Doctors Blackwell, and The Factory
2. Clap Back by Naomi Hopinkson
3. The Deep and Dark Blue by Niki Smith
