Im back, friends!! Last month, We were asked to work as much overtime as possible for the end of the year, yay extra money, goodbye extra time. And then I took a pretty bad fall and wound up in the ER.😳 We sadly had an unexpected death in the family. Then my poor uncle got hit by a car, he's hurt pretty bad but thankfully alive. I didn't even get my tree decorated until the week of Christmas. 🎄 I really missed everyone's posts. Happy New Year!

I‘m quite happy with my #DashingDecember success! I read the section of Book Woman; read Dionysus, Vasilisa, Trail of Lightning, Well Matched, plus two kids‘ Christmas books. I didn‘t get to The Bear and the Nightingale, which went back to the library. I‘ll get to the whole trilogy soon. And I did read some of Tehran but fell about 30 pages shy of my goal. For a busy week and unexpected work this weekend, not bad! Thanks for hosting @Andrew65
My stack for #DashingDecember - I hope to read at least one hour per day (today that might be a stretch); goals are to keep up with Book Woman for #SheSaid, finish current section and read the next in Tehran, read Dionysus, read Vasilisa for #childrensclassicread2021, start Trail of Lightning and/or Well Matched, and maybe start The Bear and the Nightingale. I will consider any of those accomplished a roaring success!

Last 2021 #BookSpinBingo tbr! Do I wish to read them all? Of course! Is it going to happen? 😳🙄🤷🏽♀️I have many books set during winter & holidays that I want to read😩 The perfect season for thrillers, horror, romance, fantasy📚🙌 with coffee ☕️ or tea 🫖 in pjs and a candle 🕯 We don‘t have a cold winter at the Caribbean but the weather is less hot for us, at least in the coast area, it is better at the mountain but that is our winter☺️
My December #TBR—mostly all holiday reads for #WinterGames #TeamGameSleighers although I will likely have a few others sneak in & since I‘m a moody reader a bunch of these could be switched out for others. I have been buying up cheap holiday e-books & gathering free audiobooks for #LittenListen too. This is more holiday reads than my sometimes grinchy side usually reads for the season but it should be fun. ❄️🎄❄️

I set “Christmas” as my December theme at the beginning of the year, forgetting that I own very few Christmas themed books. 🤦🏻♀️ I‘m 8 books shy of my MountTBR goal, so my hope for this month is to read a handful of “set in December” books, books set in Winter, the book I started in November but didn‘t finish, my library audiobook, and another book that is none of the above but counts for MountTBR.

I started out with good intentions in November “Nonfiction November” and all that, but ended up sidetracking a bunch for more cozy reads (November was a tough month), but I did well with my Rainbow Rowell #AuthorAMonth instead, so oh well. But that leaves me with my regular group reads for December, and a bunch of half-read Nonfiction, and a few more if I want to finish up my challenges.
