Interesting story and characters. Perhaps a little long but mostly fast paced. Fulfills Washington DC for my #52mysteries reading project. First in a series, but it‘s a little cynical and depressing for me to continue. I can read about murder and mayhem in other cities, but for my own city I just need to turn on the local news.

Anyway, this was one of the books I planned to finish for #dashingdecember but better late than never!

Having discovered Jessica Redland last Christmas and enjoyed her books since, I was keen to jump into this book about Tabby setting up a Cat Cafe, which seems a novel concept. Unfortunately just before opening her partner deserts her and if that isn‘t enough she also is suffering from the debilitating condition of fibromyalgia. There also seem to be people around her that want to stop the cafe opening.

I loved these tales from the 10th Doctor. My favorite was The Christmas Blessing about a group or blessing of space narwhals that help clean space junk out of our atmosphere 💙

While I dislike insta-love, there wasn‘t a fated mates plot at least. Also, I wish there was more on the Mistlefoe game! And the book just…ended. I want more! At least this explains where Alexis came from.

While fun yes, the dubcon in this one was a biiiiit too dubious. Lemming tried to make it not creepy but still. Also, didn‘t expect my introduction to the omegaverse to be this book 😅🥲

Listen, I had a GREAT time. Was it well written? No, not really, but was it fun? Absolutely. I bought the whole trilogy lol.

I really liked the concept of these queer fairy tale retellings, I think I just didn't care for some of the stories that were chosen to retell. There were two stories that I really loved but the rest left me feeling meh. Beautiful art though, I loved the colored pencil designs. I don't know if the author is planning another collection like this in future but I would give it a go if they do
