My first in this series.🙃
My first in this series.🙃
This one didn‘t have as much of an adventure as the first one did but I still enjoyed it. Spicy, have to figure out who‘s snatching girls in the village. People from the first book are very involved in this book as well. Werewolf romance!
I‘m loving this series!
4/5
This series is fantasy that doesn't take itself too seriously, and I love it.
Local cheesemaker Brie throws a drink at a guy who is bothering her, but it turns out the drink was a love potion and the ducks, so instead she hits Felix, a werewolf. Felix knows as soon as he lays his eyes on Brie that she is his fated mate, but Brie's pretty sure that's the love potion talking, and he'll forget all about her as soon as she finds an antidote.
I‘m so confused by this book. For the first half I thought it was contemporary, then I realized they were talking about traveling by horse and using lanterns. But the language is contemporary. And there are random things thrown in that will give you a headache if you need context. I read it because…cute cover, funny title and 5 ⭐️ Goodreads reviews. But then “lemon meringue”, “porcelain doll” and other cliches messed up my timeline.

Working my way through this series/trilogy (? not sure if more are coming) as my library holds are in. I have to give this one a so-so instead of soft-pick mainly because the author seems to throw a bunch of things into her world to see what sticks w/o much actual building of that world. (In a human/werewolf “interaction” why are there tentacles?)🫣Short & mostly 🌶️ fun though-so yeah, I‘ll read book 3.
While fun yes, the dubcon in this one was a biiiiit too dubious. Lemming tried to make it not creepy but still. Also, didn‘t expect my introduction to the omegaverse to be this book 😅🥲

This cozy fantasy was much spicier than I realized it would be, but thoroughly enjoyable. A cheesemaker accidentally throws a love potion on a werewolf at a bar, but he claims it's not just magic convincing him she's his fated mate. With a cult kidnapping women and a werewolf doing everything in his power to make her love him, Brie isn't sure which way to turn-- especially when Felix start making her wildest romance book fantacies come true.
Got one ebook, one audiobook, and one physical book going this weekend #WeekendReads
If a character thinks they have drugged/magicked/charmed or otherwise influenced a person to love them, they should stay away. Not go along with whatever the influenced person wants and fantasise about them. It's creepy.
This was too assaulty, blurring the lines of consent for me. It wasn't charming like the first book.
Also why tentacles?
It's been a slow resding week, but I'm working on these two at the moment and just got a new libro audiobook I'll probably start soon. #weekendreads
When Brie accidentally hits a stranger with a love potion and he‘s convinced she‘s his imprinted mate since he‘s a werewolf, shit hits the fan. Then local women go missing and they find out a cult‘s behind it.
It‘s ridiculous, funny, spicy, and has tentacles (if you‘re into that).
These are fun and hilarious to read. I enjoyed being reunited with characters from the first story and the novella. Can't wait for the next installment. I hope it's Dante's story.
Quite possibly my favorite book title ever.
