Goliath by Tochi Onyebuchi is the winner for June. It is available for free to read, in the US, if you have a Kindle Unlimited subscription. Even my tiny local library had a physical copy and ebook format also. This book has a number of accolades so I am hoping it lives up to the hype. Enjoy!

My favorite day of the year, the local AAUW used book sale! Added some series titles I needed, found a O‘Nan book I never heard of, added to my Hilderbrand collection. Only one nonfiction and I was happy to find it. All in all a great haul. I always say buying a book and reading a book are two separate pleasures! #bookhaul #MountTBR
For those of you who were curious, here is a grid of the 16 books that I‘m part of the way through right now. 3 of them are over 1,000 pages, so there‘s no way I can bang these out in a few weeks, but maybe if I focus on them, I could get through them by the end of the year. so-soI liked the 80s nostalgia of Westchester County, where I grew up. As for the story itself, eh, it was alright and not as compelling as I thought it would be. I hate going into books with high expectations 😕

bailedI made it 85 pages in (48% of the way through), and I just couldn‘t make myself read any longer. I‘m apparently not the target audience for this book. It was so boring, and I didn‘t find the main character interesting at all. It was a slog, y‘all. Also, I thought her psychiatrist was irritating. I‘m glad to have this one off #MountTBR. #HailTheBail #DNF
💙Eep! 27/100 or 27% 😂 There are a lot on #mounttbr, though! I'm also not sure if I cheated: I've read the first Neapolitan Novel, but not the full series, but I checked the box. So it might be 26%. 😳
