I really liked this one! I loved Ern and the way he told his family‘s story. This got very twisty but was done very well. Glad I finally got to this one!

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!!! 5d
Read4life @MsLeah8417 it‘s a low key, fun challenge to read books on your shelves (physical, digital and audiobooks). You make a list of 100 books, ebooks and/or audiobooks that you‘d like to read. @PuddleJumper rolls 3 numbers each month. You then try to read 1, 2 or all 3 of the rolled books from your list. You can always read any book from your list anytime so you don‘t have to wait for it to be rolled. If a completed # is rolled, you can either replace 5d
Read4life It with another title, consider it a completed number for the month or read the book a number above or below the rolled one. Again, it‘s all fun and just an enjoyable way to tackle your TBR. Hope this helps, @MsLeah8417 If you‘d like to join, just go to the link @CSeydel posted above and tell @PuddleJumper you‘d like to be added to the tag list. 🤓 (edited) 5d
julieclair Great list. Happy reading! 4d

Jewell always manages to hook me in. While the ending made this one a soft pick for me, the pacing was great. I appreciated that Alix's ignoring of major red flags felt like a natural progression here - she's just too far into the story to back down now. I like my fiction tied with a bow, so some of the ambiguity at the end annoyed me (plus one major plot point wasn't how I would have gone so), but overall I couldn't stop turning pages.

PuddleJumper ❤️💜❤️ 6d
vlwelser Everyone on my work team (4 people) shared a 21 day library loan for this. Such a page turner. 6d

julieclair Glad you enjoyed it! Mostly. 😉 6d
TheAromaofBooks @vlwelser - Oh what a fun idea, to all read the same book. Gives you something to talk about at work 😂 She's a great author for that. I feel like she creates situations for her characters that really leave you wondering what you would do if you were in that position - bad choices are made, but they feel like reasonable bad choices. 6d
vlwelser All of the bad choices. Who knew there could be SO many. I swear my intern spent that entire book gasping and swearing at it in Spanish. We often pass a book around. This was the first time it was a library book. I highly recommend it if you end up with a group of readers you spend a lot of time with. 6d

Just came across the #MtCookbook tag and decided that it‘s about time for me to give my cookbook shelves some attention. I think my goal will be to decide to either #readordonate ten cookbooks by the end of the year. Most of these have been fun to collect, but I‘ve only used a handful of recipes in them, as I look online a lot for the recipes I use. These aren‘t all my cookbooks, but this is the bulk of them. Since I need to start eating ⬇️

slategreyskies (Cont.) more healthy meals (low sodium, gluten free and anti-inflammatory), some of these cookbooks may no longer work for me. Looking forward to going through them and finding the ones that do, though! 1w
Tamra Yay! 👏🏾 We‘re happy to have you join in! I always enjoy seeing others‘ cookbooks and what they think of them. 1w
Tamra We have several in common. 😊 1w

mabell I spy a few I have too! 1w
slategreyskies @Tamra it‘s a dangerous tag to follow, as I can see myself easily adding more cookbooks to my shelves after I see some of yours! 🤣 1w
Tamra @slategreyskies 😅 I know I‘ve already succumbed! 1w

Only 1/3 rolled #Roll100 books read in April. Otherwise, a great challenges & buddy reads month.

Once the #readyourebooks numbers are selected I‘ll post my May chart.

This should right up my alley, but I found it kind of dry when I first started reading it, and now the moment has passed. Off to the LFL it goes!

It wasn‘t a good month for reading magazines either, but perhaps I can catch up a little in May?

Meanwhile, I managed to acquire “only” six books at Malice Domestic. Three of them were free, and of the ones I bought only one is for me. Just don‘t ask about the swag!

#readordonate #monthlymagazineblitz

julieclair Hmmm Because Internet looks really interesting to me, too. But dry, not so much, lol! 2w
julieclair I think only six books is perfectly fine, especially since free ones and books you‘re giving as gifts don‘t count! 😉 And swag? What swag? I don‘t see any swag. 🫣 2w
slategreyskies Add me to the “swag? What swag?” group! I love swag! 🤣 2w

April & YTD Challenge by the numbers.

I‘m happy that I‘ve read 48 books from my shelves so far this year. That‘s half of the books I‘ve finished YTD. A very nice balance of owned and borrowed. 🤓
