Excellent page-turner. Dark. I was surprised at the places it went. Definitely will read the next in the series.
(quarantine book #98; read a book with a badass female character)
In a word, disappointing. I liked the novelization of the Wonder Woman movie w-a-y better than this book. And that‘s just sad.
But there is an upside: at least I can get it off my shelf now!

This is my #doublespin book for April.
This is definitely not one of my favorite books but it was a good book. I liked the romance between Ava and Alex. I also enjoyed the sibling dynamic between Ava, Alex and Natasha.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5/5 stars I already loved Black Widow but this book just made me love her more! While this version of Natasha isn't exactly like the movie version, I could definitely see parts of Scarlett Johansson's interpretation while reading. Loved the style and fast pace of the book. Luna and I are ready to start the second one!

#colormepretty #redandblack @Sweetkokoro Natasha Romanoff tries to make up for her past as a Russian spy, but it will always be a part of her.
#jazzyjune #deadlydiva @Eggs Black Widow is one of my favourite kick-ass females. I‘m excited to read the tagged book.
This is exactly what the MCU needs.
What do you do when work stuff is annoying you? Listen to Natasha kick some derriere and use the wifi at the Sbux across the street to take some first steps toward professional changes.

So much for the book buying ban! 😂 But I had to go get a #jbswap book and what‘s a booknerd to do when the clearance books are 2 for $10?! I‘m lucky I restrained myself as much as I did, because I originally had a much larger stack! 🤭
And my #jb swap book (wrapped) will be in the mail in the morning!
Getting some reading in while at the doctor with my daughter. This has been a very good read so far! It has definitely given me a desire to learn more about Black Widow and her back story!
Hello 👋 Yesterday I finished reading Milk and Honey and started reading Squirrel Girl vol. 4, which will be my last book for the year.

This is a picture of the Black Widow YA novels. I‘m a sucker for the Marvel books. I have all the YA books they have put out so far.

QOTD: What will be your last read for the year?
Not much of Natasha but it was a nice story. That ending!
I don‘t know much about Black Widow - she‘s always such a side character in all the Avengers movies, basically just there as eye candy (🙄 stupid patriarchy). So, I‘m not sure if this is similar at all to what her backstory is supposed to be, but I enjoyed it. It‘s nice to have stories that focus on badass women. I must have a superhero kick going because I‘m starting Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo next.
I normally have no problem lending books to my cousion Richard. However I lent him this title and it's not been returned. Turns out he thought he returned it but now thinks he may have accidentally lent it to his brothers girlfriends kid when he was over. Said he wasn't paying attention and never wants to discourage a kid from reading. I get get. May have to buy a new copy. #awesomeautumnbook #superherosunday
Happy Independence Day!😊🇺🇸
I hope all of you have a wonderful and safe
Fourth of July.🎆
I spent the day with family.❤️💙

I am very excited to read this book!! It's one I've had for a while and have finally been able to grab off my book and start! (Yes I'm reading many books at once!!) black widow is such an amazing character and I love her graphic novels! Learning so many little badass things about her is amazing and I can't wait for her movie! She's basically my hero! (Pun intended!) I love superheroes so much!! #blackwidow #superhero #foreverred #red #marvel #tbr
For today's #AllTheSingleLadies prompt for #JuneBookBugs I thought I would go with one of my favorite badass single heroines #BlackWidow🕷 #Marvel #BookNerd 📚❤️
Giving this one another go.
I enjoyed it when I started to read it
I have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand, it has a good plot. It captures your attention from the beginning and there are interesting plot twists, but for being a Black Widow novel, there wasn't much Black Widow. It focused more on another character and there were unnecessary romances. The story would have been fine without it. Overall, it was still a good story. I just wanted more Natasha.
I don't have a favorite #femalesuperhero. I love them all. However, Black Widow is one of the most interesting, for sure. I have yet to read any of the Black Widow books, but I plan to! #marchintoreading
I've been so busy today that I almost forgot about the #MarchIntoReading post. So here it is, and I'm taking this one literally. I'm a big fan of the Black Widow comics, but the book was just okay, in my opinion. #FemaleSuperHeroes @RealLifeReading
4 doodles and a book😊I should be sleeping too but I'll settle for reading and listening to them 😴. #currentlyreading #onemorechapter #booksarebetterthansleep #snuggles #upallnight
I couldn't completely get into this book. As a Natasha Romanova novel, I wasn't that into it. I didn't feel like it really nailed the Black Widow character. As a spy thriller novel, I didn't feel like it nailed the necessary pacing or the plot complexity, even for a YA book. And the writing for the action scenes didn't really describe scene or setting well enough to put me into the scene the way a cinematic action scene should.
Grabbed this beauty from the used bookstore today! #newtome #ilovebooks
Black Widow learns a lot about herself while trying to save the world solo this time. But maybe she's not as alone as she thinks. A of misfits who have more in common that you'd expect.
This was an AMAZING addition to the Marvel Universe. It's heartfelt and laced with humor and Black Widow's biting sarcasm. If you like Marvel check it out. It's so good! #Marvel #BlackWidow
Latest addition to my TBR pile.. unfortunately BAM only had one hardcover , which is slightly torn, but I couldn't resist.. ❤🕷
Let's be clear, Black Widow is a main character, and an important one. This is not just her story, though. There's another girl, Ava, who had the same.... childhood, let's say.... As Natasha. When Natasha saved young Ava, she thought Ivan was dealt with. Eight years later he resurfaces with a few surprises. Ava and Natasha must work together with a friend to stop the man that nearly broke them both.
I loved this book- so exciting!
I read badass ladies as a rule, but I especially reach for them while I'm sick. Drawing on their strength maybe?
Not mine, these are my daughter's books but I'm a huge Marvel Avengers fan so Black Widow is my perfect #kickassheroine. #seasonsreadings.
Amazing book! Definitely recommend to any Marvel fans who want a peak in Natasha's backstory. Can't wait to read the sequel. #blackwidow
What a book!!! It was so great to learn more about Black Widow and understand more of the way she is. It also introduced Red Widow which grew as a character. At the beginning, Red Widow was a little annoying to me. However, I love her now because of the character growth. I can't wait to read what happens in the sequel.
Also small spoiler: Loved the banter with Iron Man
Not the best story and the writing is so-so. However, the Black Widow is one of my favorite characters in the MCU so I liked learning more about her and her motivations. I think in a lot of ways she has one of the saddest superhero stories.
Instead of working or finishing any of the books I have already started I'm almost done with this one. I love the Black Widow in the movies so I had to read this. I'm not a comic book reader so I don't follow her storyline outside of the MCU but I saw this listed someplace and thought I'd try it. It's linked to the stories in the MCU in that it at least references key players and "stuff" that's happened. #biblioweekend
PEOPLE NEED TO STOP LETTING ME INTO LIBRARIES
This book was a hot, hot mess. Despite it being a BW book, Natasha was all but shelved for angsty teen romance. There was a ridiculous amount of grammar errors, descriptors vague to the point of incoherence, and Natasha's characterization was all over the place. I had a hell of a time trying to figure out where this book sits in the MCU, but came to the conclusion that this story exists solely in the Shadow Realm.
I have 4 books on the go at the moment and I'm enjoying all of them! How to be an America housewife is for a book club I just joined and it isn't my kind of thing at all. But I'm trying to keep going, for the sake of wanting to read things that I wouldn't normally.
Found this gem today at the Scholastic book fair!! I'm all about the Marvel and DC Universes! Black Widow has so much red in her ledger that she can't even dream of a different color. It's going to be a #greatread!
