I simply can‘t resist a beauty & the beast inspired tale. This beast is a little bit Rochester and a little bit Dr. Gregory House and it works.

1. Love Beauty & the Beast retellings. Tagged is a great one.
2. Once upon a time I will finish the book.

July #BookSpin @TheAromaofBooks book 2 in Eloisa's Fairy Tale series. Inspired by Beauty & Beast but with Dr. House personality☺️Funny, sexy, with clichés, predicted ending but cute. Good book during reading slump if you like historical romances. I had COVID-19 flashbacks, there is an illness outbreak (not spoilers), tx is by constant hands washing, cleaning areas, plenty of fluids. Spreads through coughing and Quarantine was ordered what??3.3⭐️
I needed a straightforward romance to get out of a book slump, and this delivered. It had some really great banter, often filled with Shakespeare references.
I am using the tagged book for June's prompt for my #readwithmrbook challenge
This character that is disabled is the doctor who was inspired by Hugh Laurie in House.
Is anyone else still doing this challenge or is it just me?
@MrBook
Very good. A retelling of Beauty and The Beast. Easy to read and get swept up in this romantic story.

Based on beauty and the beast, this is a wonderful remake. With a different remedy and feel good factor, definitely a fast and easy read! Kept me on my toes with awesome plots.

I admire these amazing romance authors. I‘m also so excited to get to meet them at #kisscon where there will be 32 excellent romance authors. Anyone else going? Maybe we can plan a #litsymeetup

A different kind of #beast . @EloisaJames ‘ second book in the Fairy Tales series.
A very charming story based on the classic but not riding its coattails, which is nice.
Another romance novelist with lots of parties. @EloisaJames I'm sure if I read all her books, I will find at least #10lordsaleaping out on the dance floor. Another great historical romance writer. #12daysofchristmas.
I loved it. It was steamy and sweet and sassy. I recommend to any romance fans out there. #romantsy
OMG I‘m loving this book. It took me a minute to get into, but now it‘s going and I can‘t stop giggling and blushing - which means it‘s a good romance! This is my first @EloisaJames but I doubt it will be my last!!
My first bona fide historical romance, and you know what? It was super fun! Kinda ridiculous but a great way to get my mind off my worries. The beginning of this was hilarious and I loved the main characters initial interactions. Once they got together I lost a bit of interest because the funny went away and was replaced by the sex but still all in all the book was a good time.
Read for my 2 person book club. I could definitely see what was coming up.
Decided to give Eloisa James a try because I hear so much about her. Doesn't hurt that I'm a sucker for beauty and the beast retellings.
Loved, loved, loved this one! Laugh-out-loud funny, great characters, of course some 🔥 moments, and lots of tenderness. A great mood-lifter I was happy to have on my Kindle when running into flight delays. #romantsy
Just spent the last couple days enjoying this #romantsy read. A grumpy nobleman nicknamed the Beast meets a beautiful young "fallen " woman for purposes of matrimony. Plenty of laughs and heat! Two thumbs up!!!!
Revisiting today. Sometimes you need a little laugh especially when it feels like #mondayonathursday

The banter was magnificent! The story was delicious! Then it broke my heart a little, before delivering a very satisfying HEA. #romantsy
“Beautiful girls in fairy stories are as common as pebbles on the beach. Magnolia-skinned milkmaids rub shoulders with starry-eyed princesses and, in fact, counting two eyes in each bright-eyed damsel would result in a whole galaxy of twinkling stars.”
Ok - I just blew through book two! I may have to read the rest out of order as my holds come in from the library.
Fun, but I liked the first book I read by her (Potent Pleasures) better. This is my third, and the plots have too much similarity. P.P. was better because I found it more interesting to read so much detail about the lives of the aristocracy and the familial relationships. This one was more generic and predictable. A pick because it was still enjoyable for a vacation read.
This book is was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed the characters and the plot!
This Tuesday 7 pm, Strand Bookstore in NYC! It's a particular challenge to be feminist in writing historical romances. Easy to kick the misogynist to the curb in 2017---not so easy in 1817! Plus readers really love arranged marriage and other tropes that can be bad for women...how to negotiate? We'd love to see you, and hoping for a lively conversation! @JuliaQuinn @sarahmaclean
I loved this #romance novel.
Yes, partly because of the hero being a lot like House, MD (#fangirl), but mostly because the heroine stood up to him. She's no mousy little debutant/wallflower. Eloisa James writes strong women, beautiful and intelligent. @EloisaJames that's why I love your books.
There is a reasonable conflict between the MCs leading to a nail-biting climax.
#romantsy
This cane was what I had to get my fangirl self last year, when I realised I needed a cane to walk longer distances.
I'm only a few chapters into the tagged book and all of a sudden I realised the male MC reminded me of grumpy House MD, sans the vicodine.
I love an author who can put "pop culture" into a book without rubbing your nose in it. @EloisaJames
Before I say #ReadThisNotThat, a word to the wise: read whatever makes you happy.
If you want Fairy Tale retellings with lots of #romance and well-written scenes, go read Eloisa James.

@RealLifeReading
Now that I have all Fairy Tale books by Eloisa James, I can read them in order.
Yes, I need to read them in the correct order. You wouldn't want to read "The Half-Blood Prince" before "The Philosopher's Stone" either. ?
My daughter and I went to see "The Beauty and the Beast", a matinee, we were the only two people. It was great. My daughter loved the story, she wanted to stay for next show.
I read a *lot* of romances, so it takes something special for one to stand out; and this has a lot of something special: @EloisaJames ' joie-de-vivre; a smart, funny heroine who is a true match for the hero; a great hero a la Dr. House; a plot about being human, forgiveness, acceptance, and of course, love. Definitely a personal favorite #romantsy ❤
My favorite James novel.to date. It has steamy hot sexual tension. The heroine is more than a match for the bad tempered beast.
Perfectly wonderful! Quick witted and funny, and altogether too romantic. Total winner!

Hi m'dears! It's rare for one of my books to go for .99, so I thought it was worth a post. It's a fairy tale...with House MC as inspiration for the hero...and do you remember 'The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock? Watch for it through the book! #romantsy. #historicalromance. #romancenovel #sale
When Beauty Tamed the Beast is only $0.99 today, and A Discovery of Witches is only $1.99! I bought them both!😍
I'm so ready for the live action remake of Beauty and the Beast this week and then this popped up on sale too!!
