So many good songs😌but I will mention 3, only 3 of my favorites
🎧 I still haven‘t Found What I‘m looking For (I loved U2) that concert of 25th Rock&Roll Hall of Fame was fantastic) with Springsteen (like the song I‘m on Fire😆), Black Eye Pea, EtcI have it!
🎧You Give Love A Bad Name-love the drums in one specific part
🎧Like A Prayer-that video👌
Each decade is unique, including the current one
Another hard/dark story. Hard to read because story has various triggers which were so descriptive.. I‘m not a fan of magical realism but author used it amazingly. Two characters connected in two time lines? Maybe...story use the concept of quantum multiverse. The ending was expected to me as I have seen in novels read using this concept. Beautiful and thoughtful lines even in those dark parts. Brilliant. Amazing narration by author. 4/4.5⭐️
#Women‘s Prize Long & Short List
The books I have read from the long list for the Women‘s Prize have been so hard to read, so dark, sad.
This one is a family drama/coming of age story, narrated in two time lines. Every main character has a dark side in terms that they are not who they project to others, they have secrets, they are full of lies, hurting others. There are some triggers here: suicide, sexual abuse. Some parts are so sad😢⬇️
#IndependentBookstoreDay and more...
Middle stack are the books I bought in Libreria Laberinto (Labyrinth Bookstore) located in Old SJ. They specialized in books in Spanish but also has books in English. I can find those Spanish books from different countries difficult to find in other local bookstores. Books in Spanish can be pretty expensive many comes from Spain.
Right stack-books from a charity store also in SJ. Not too cheap but⬇️

#SpringSkies Day 24 #Neurodivergent
I haven‘t read this one but it was one of the novels classified as neurodivergent mentioned in GR. another book from my physical tbr😳
@Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @eggs
Reading this one now. I will continue reading the books nominated in the long list regardless if they don‘t appear in the short list tomorrow. I have the books, they are in my tbr except The Blue Beautiful World because I would need to read the first 2 books first and Soldier Sailor which I don‘t own yet 🤷🏽♀️☺️
7th book read from Women‘s Prize for fiction Long List
Unpopular opinion but this time, I really liked this novel. In a peculiar, unique sarcastic tone, the author narrate different topics: (social, political, cultural, etc) through this man who visited his country after 26 years of exile.I think it was so creative. Character has a fragmented thinking process, thinking about what he is thinking/observing/doing. ⬇️
6th book read from the Women‘s Prize for fiction-long list
😬Sorry this one didn‘t work for me. I‘m not a fan of novels about sport even though the story has other topics. I wasn‘t interested in the story and I couldn‘t believe so decision made. 2.5/3⭐️
5th book read from Women‘s Prize fiction long list. Mixed feelings, again🤷🏽♀️Maybe my expectations have been too high because they are books nominated for a prize. A HF based on true events and also based on previous
short stories. Maybe that it‘s why I felt disconnected in some parts.
The narrator in this story is working in a new project at her job, a nursing home in Korea. She will help the residents to write their own obituary⬇️
(The Liar) First book in a trilogy. It‘s more like a suspense story. This man, Alex, sees an unknown man next to him..but is that man dead? Then he sees a stone in his own hand.., with blood...did he kill that man?...but he is not sure about anything because he wake up in a hospital and he doesn‘t remember anything. Fragments of memories come and go. And then, the story goes to discover what really happened, who is Alex⬇️
4th book read from the Women‘s Prize for fiction long list. Mixed feelings with this one. It was beautifully written but I didn‘t find a well integration in the story, specially the first parts. In some parts I just lost interest because I felt author was jumping from one topic to another🤷🏽♀️Let‘s see if it included in the short list. It didn‘t work for me as I expected 3⭐️
I read this book as part of #GabyReadsBookTroop (YouTuber) and I concur with their analysis that this is more like a HF because it is based/inspired in a true case but novel is from the victims POV😢It was interesting but sometimes I don‘t know what the author wanted to emphasize, the victims?, the main character? the legal process? In my opinion I don‘t see that integration so well but this is an unpopular opinion.⬇️
Interesting HF inspired by true event where a woman was sentenced to be executed in the maiden, a guillotine used at that time. The story fictionalized the life, affair and sentence this woman. Interesting but also a sad story. Trigger point, sexual and physical abuse. However I thought, why this novel was in the Women‘s Prize fiction long list? I‘m not an expert but author describes so well each character giving them an unique/different voice⬇️

#SpringSkies Day 15 #WomenInSport
I don‘t read many novels with this topic so this is a popular book mentioned in this prompt.
I have the English edition but I saw the translated title and it was curious, quite different 😳 Perra (female dog) is used the same as- b#%$& woman 🤷🏽♀️Well, how would you describe Carrie in those first chapters?

I read this book in May 2017, not the best story, slow pace but it had something that I liked. It was a sad romance story between these two characters 💔

🌹My grandmother Not present anymore in this physical world but present always in my thoughts and♥️
🌹 I will admire every strong female character that appear in books I love. Not necessarily a heroine but characters I admire or love. I just admire the live Katniss felt for her sister.
But if I have to mention heroes in fiction,...well, those in marvel and DC are quite fun to follow....in movies🤣
Thank you @TheSpineView 🥰♥️

🎥 Elegy with Ben Kingsley and Penelope Cruz-movie was better
🎥The Secret In Their Eyes/El Secreto De Sus Ojos by Eduardo Sacheri both movie and book were good but the movie (Argentina version) has a different twist but it was a good adaptation.
🎥The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Swedish version) was a different but good movie adaptation.
Thank you @Eggs 🥰♥️
