This one has tricky family dynamics- as usual - but this time it‘s Roarke‘s father stepping into the mix. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.17-20: ah the joys of talking on the phone - that‘s a flash to the past for sure. Now if someone calls me I‘m like who died!? How do we feel about her dad? He seems like a flake. Like he‘s of no use to anyone - which sounds mean but he needs to take charge and make sure his kids are being taken care of. Ch.19 was an important chapter and Eleanor and Park each went out on a limb. ⬇️

I learned to drive stick when my college roommate (from a very affluent suburban town) freaked out driving in Philly. 🙄 She literally burst into tears, pulled over, got out of the car & told me I had to drive us back to school. Between sobs she told me what I needed to do. Talk about nerve wracking. After that fiasco, I made her properly teach me. 3d

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.5-8: poor Eleanor! To be shoved off to her mom‘s friend and then left there for like a year. That must have made her feel awful and unwanted. It‘s not right to feel like you have to make yourself invisible. But then at school people notice her for all the wrong reasons. I can‘t wait for Park to notice who she really is and appreciate her.

I think it‘s probably harder for kids now with all the technology…the bullying and stupid/bad decisions can live forever online. But as a teen in the 80s, I had a blast! And yes, the school bus seat situation was a very serious thing. I love books with 80s settings! 6d

He had a period came up to her hit her and left. This went on for 2 years. This year it finally ended. I have spoken to the teachers and his parents. Apparently he has some trauma but his parents refuse to help.It gets worse as children get older. Teenagers can be cruel. 6d

I do remember how Park is feeling when I could see someone walking into the “fire” and hoping they knew what they were doing. Although I was definitely quicker to help than Park was. (edited) 6d

Lucien will finally see that they are not that traditional court but a court that actually lives. They do what makes them happy, they work for their people (not against them), they know how to have fun. Despite the fact that war is coming. 1w

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Ch.15-end: things finally fell into place and connections were made between Yost, the people who hired him, Magda‘s scummy son, and yes, Roarke‘s old friend. It was a sad ending - between this and previous stories, Roarke has lost several of his links to his past. I liked seeing Summerset in his element and seeing his bond with Roarke. I‘m interested to see how things will work out for Peabody and Mcnab. ⬇️

Mass is an excellent world builder and writes such great characters. I can‘t wait to get back to them. After the 1st book I wasn‘t sure why the fan base is so loyal, but now I definitely get it. ⬇️

StayCurious How will Feyre stay strong being stuck with Tamlin for who knows how long? And how will she get Lucien onto her side? It‘s clear he doesn‘t agree with what‘s going on, and he‘ll want to be with Elain - so maybe he can be turned to the dark side so to speak. All in all I LOVED this book. It had action, romance, character growth, kick-assery; everything that pulls you in and makes you read a book again. ⬇️

The last couple of chapters tied things up nicely - with proclamations of love and loose ends tied up. Overall I enjoyed this Irish romance - the characters were fun and it was light and fluffy. I would have enjoyed getting into Callum‘s head a bit more. He was a great character but I wanted a bit more from him. But it was romantic with some sweet moments and I enjoyed it.

And things naturally escalate - and it‘s about time. Here‘s hoping the morning after isn‘t too awkward.

I can‘t believe the Summer Court would threaten to return Feyre to Tamlin and risk pissing off the Night Court. I can‘t believe that the law says Feyre belongs to him. Could he really mean war over her? ⬇️

StayCurious And I can‘t believe that our book boyfriend Rhys went with Cresseida! I mean - the nerve! How could he do that to us!? Ok, the rational part of me knows he probably had his reasons - you know, keep the more suspicious members of the Summer court happy and all that - but dang! Maybe he wants to see her reaction, to see what she feels. But it also wants to keep the peace. At least until they find the book. Then they'll be teleporting back🤔 Rhys once told that the seasons Courts live by the law, but the other three do not. I don't like the law when she needs to go back. 4w

maich She herself disagrees with some of the laws, if we remember back to the Spring Day court. From the collection of tithes, from the celebration of kalanmai and so on... To be returned to the Spring Court by Summer Court? I don't think they would do that. Rhys would not allow. Also Tarqin has cast his eyes on her, and this could get interesting. 4w

mcctrish Two things struck me, Cala mai is brought up and when Feyre was at it the first time she met Rhysand and was kind put out Tamlin didn‘t get it on with her. The next day Tamlin went on about how he smelled her and it made him insane so now I‘m fretting she will be there this year and shit will go down. I think she has feelings for Rhys and I don‘t want anything to wreck them 4w

Can she really stand up against them to save the pub and put on this long lost festival? It‘s an uphill battle for sure. Looks like she‘s on one line of the battle ground and Callum is on the other. Even if he doesn‘t seem entirely thrilled with his boss‘ actions.

#LittensLoveRomance Happy St.Patrick‘s day! Let‘s get our Irish on! Ch.1-3: a funny if embarrassing meet cute between Callum and Katie. It was nice of him to seek her out afterwards. He could have just chalked her up to a crazy lady - and who could have blamed him?! So far he seems like a good guy. But things are bound to get more complicated. As they always do. So far I like the Irish setting and some of the side characters seem colourful.

I was, of course, brought up with dress well and never leave the house in "house clothes", including the awful long apron-coat things that women wore at home to protect their good clothing from stains. But I've embraced the "sloth look" since and don't police my children. (their father does though, they have to stay in the car and can't come shopping when they wear joggers, for example). 4w

Secondly, Rhys definitely knows how to challenge Feyre. But using her as bait? Does that go too far? It worked. And now they have the Attor and can get info from him about Hybern‘s plans. And Feyre was mad enough to use her powers. ⬇️

StayCurious It does make you think: what are the other courts doing during this time? Are they just hoping Hybern forgets about Prythian? Is Rhys the only one working? 1mo
