A beautiful ending to a wonderful duology by the amazing Marissa Meyer! I adored this story and these characters so much! 5 stars!
This duology will hold a special place in my heart! Marissa Meyer really outdid herself with this one, so much love and heartfelt emotions I was tearing up towards the end. I loved this book and all the characters especially Serilda. I am so happy @BooksNBowls and I buddy read this. I swear our reads are always 5 stars!
Continuing our buddy read with book 2! So excited to continue this story and see how it ends.

I adore fairytale retellings but I may have to stop reading them bc I'm convinced there could never be a more perfect reimagining than this series. Rumpelstiltskin has long been my favorite fairytale & Gilded blew me away, but nothing could have prepared me for the sheer sublimity of Cursed
The world building, characters, legend, lore. The drama, tragedy, the enormity of the story played out in winding intricacies & minute details.
Impeccable.
A great retelling duology. I loved the characters & atmosphere. The storyline is clever & fun. The level of dark is ample & fantastic. I will admit that it wasn't quite as gripping as the first book. It is a little bit long & did slow down a couple of times, but the world building is on point & I love the historical background that gets built for this world. It felt like a blend of Greek mythology & Rumpelstiltskin in the best ways possible.
I proceeded to spend my Sunday afternoon finishing Cursed and loved how this duology ended. While very satisfying, I could continue in this world and would love to know how these characters spend the rest of their lives. I did love Serilda and the children, Gild and the gods. This was such a rich and explorative Rumpelstiltskin retelling.
Completely in love with this gorgeous silver foiled Fairyloot edition of Cursed. It goes so nice with the gold foiled Gilded. I had to wait many months to receive it, but it‘s well worth the wait. Started the book last night and loving it so far. Marissa Meyer has a gift for pulling the reader in and not letting go.
This is the second half of the Rumpelstiltskin retelling. Tbh it has very little to do with the original tale but it's more fleshed out and richer than the original.

An apt ending to the duology...Great storyline...Love it...Reading this one gave me all the emotions one can have...I even cried.
I didn't finish the Bridge to Neverland (book 5 of the starcatcher series), book 4 ended it well enough for me. So this is my new read, I loved the first book and thought this'll be a nice change for a bit. I've got a busy week ahead with kids off school but hopefully will be able to squeeze it in. Happy reading everyone 📚💙📖 #cursed #retelling #rumplestilskin #ghosts #royalty #truth
This was a great followup to Gilded. The audiobook was rather enjoyable. The way in which Soler voiced Gild was absolutely amazing. She brought his mischievousness and sarcasm to life, making him my favorite character. I liked how she voiced many of the other characters as well. My one complaint was the speed in which Soler narrated. It was too slow for my tastes, although the inflection was spot-on; I am very happy that I could speed it up.
“Maybe that is the message the artist wished to convey. Human, god, monster — we are all victims of fate and fortune. Whether or not the great wheel will land in our favor, only time will tell.”
Perfect morning
I had to speed up the audio book, otherwise it would've been too slow for me to listen to😅 The book itself is a great conclusion to Gilded, moving, captivating and breath-taking. I'm usually not one for the motherhood trope, but Marissa Meyer of course managed to get me into that one as well. That might be because she writes such terrific characters. Even her antagonists are fascinating.
I love all of Meyer‘s fairy tale retellings. This one is the sequel to Gild, the Rumpelstiltskin reimagining and was just as good. Loved the ending and it had lots of action and various story lines running throughout. It amazes me how she can take a simple fairy tale we all grew up with and turn them into these long novels and that she needed two books to tell this one story completely. #seriesread2022
This beauty has just arrived and has gorgeous styled page edging. Looking forward to this read after loving the first book. #rumpelstiltskin #fairytale #retelling #curse #revenge
🎧 Did you enjoy Gilded? Then you have to read Cursed!
I read this in one day. I was captivated, exactly what I signed up for.
The story recaps & then it‘s a fast paced adventure with a satisfying ending. I wouldn‘t have minded if it were longer but as-is it‘s the perfect length. I was happy with the Erlking‘s resolution! Serilda & Gild are the romance Rumpelstilskin could have been ♥️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wowza!!! I feel like I waited FOREVER for this sequel to one of my #Top2021Reads- GILDED- but Meyer truly delivers on this sequel! It‘s definitely one of my #Top2022Reads! Picking up immediately, Meyer offers reminders that quickly bring the reader right back into it without feeling redundant or slowing the pace. Serilda & Gild both are living under the Erlking‘s curse- but Serilda only has eight months to break it. Exciting, magical & wonderful!
Wow WOWWWWW i cant believe it's finally over and this book was just as amazing, perhaps even more, than the first book! I am still blown away at the amazing storytelling and the way it's just as ruthless as B1. Part of me is a bit disappointed with the end but also very happy with how it ended. I think I will rant about this on TikTok one day bc I HAVE FEELS #fantasy #magic #fairytale #retelling
