I figured this would be an easy read bc it's a novella but wow it took me forever to get through. I think I just wasn't feeling it. It read like a self-insert fanfic story and I'm not a huge fan of those. I also felt that the constant analyzing of "how it usually is" broke the flow, making it not as engaging. But I did enjoy the more modern take and my lesbian children made it better in other ways #fantasy #friendship

Tbh I wasn't feeling this book for most of the read. I think it's told in a very interesting nonlinear way but I often felt like I was missing context...even tho the context was usually filled in soon after. Perhaps it's bc Morbius was kind of a prick at first and the plot moved soooo slowly. I did warm up to him by the end but then there's still the issue that he can revert back to the anger bomb from the start. Ends on a bit of cliffhanger

I feel lied to, lol. I thought this was a NF book but it's just a novel about very disturbing to-be doctors and nurses. There's a lot of problematic personal drama but also some, imo, disturbing medical decisions, many based on personal annoyances and tiredness. This is written by a doctor but tbh, nothing feels insightful. Glad I'm done with it #fiction

Wow WOWWWWW i cant believe it's finally over and this book was just as amazing, perhaps even more, than the first book! I am still blown away at the amazing storytelling and the way it's just as ruthless as B1. Part of me is a bit disappointed with the end but also very happy with how it ended. I think I will rant about this on TikTok one day bc I HAVE FEELS #fantasy #magic #fairytale #retelling

I really enjoyed this one! Also, I think it's cool that my #nonfiction reading is starting to overlap bc I actually had prev knowledge abt a few of the cases he talked about. But also others sort of 🤯 bc they were little things I'd never considered but that were obvious. The book ends with some questions for the future that I thought were v interesting and sort of sound like a scifi novel but that are grounded in our reality #history #science

I'm not entirely a fan of some of the typical #fantasy situations in this book but it worked out really well. I liked the characters and that even our sides didn't feel neglected. I was esp worried I wouldn't like the MC but she grew on me and I really enjoyed the pace she grew at. The romance was cute and though I cringed at what the MC had to do, I also respect she had the courage to do it. Confused about the consistent Rapunzel references

So much progress made in this book like woah, my heart was pounding during the raid, which takes up most of this volume, but even after when Jinwoo is back home, there are many things happening that are moving the plot along. Things that are ominous and a few countries making their moves, also THAT CLIFFHANGER. NOOOOO #fantasy #magic
