I enjoyed this one. It had a bit of mystery and suspense as well as steamy romance. I liked that the heroine was an experienced woman of 32 years young. My only quibble is that it took so long for the hookup. Definitely a pick for those waiting on Bridgerton to resume.

dabbe 1. Best dancing duo ever! 🤩
2. Loved the book, adored the movies (until they had a kid). Maybe it should be a threesome: Nick & Nora & Asta! 🤣
3. From Bridget Jones, right? It's been years since I read that book, and I never saw the movies. Adding it to my movie list!
Thanks for playing! 🧡💜🧡

Annmcoop Yes, you must see Colin Firth in the “blue soup” scene. 1y

I simply can‘t resist a beauty & the beast inspired tale. This beast is a little bit Rochester and a little bit Dr. Gregory House and it works.

Who doesn‘t want to finish first in love? A relatable heroine meets a duke who loves her most ardently. A fiery romance l finished in two days.

At first I was baffled by this romantic adventure story. It is so earnestly goofy. But ultimately this is a good thing; it is fresh and fast-paced and different than everything else I have been reading lately. A welcome surprise.

Late to the party but bumped it up from my book backlog before I read the latest in the series. This was a sweet surprise and a nice lift to a dreary week. Jake and Cleo are not your typical matchup. Enemies to lovers but Jake is so disarmingly honest, how could Cleo doubt his intentions?

Another solid suspenseful story from Nora Roberts. I really appreciate her strong female characters. I also liked reading about a family that supports each other.

Well, I loved this one. Lots of thrilling action and suspense. But a lot of heart, too. I especially liked the mentor-student relationship of Emma and Ripley. Can‘t wait for the next installment.

Another hit from Hazelwood. I read all by this author because I love her humor and snappy dialogue. Also, how did I read 384 pages in one day?

A great setup and a masterfully executed suspense thriller. I read an interview in BookPage and Ware talks about her research for writing the book. She mentions watching a show called Hunted. Has anyone seen it? Is it available in the US?

Dragon I have this one on hold on my library app - it‘s going to be weeks 📖💚🐉 1y

I have enjoyed all of Peter Swanson‘s books. Some characters from The Kind Worth Killing reappear in this book but you do not need to read that one first to enjoy this one. There are spoilers, however, so if you intend to read both, read in order. It is worth it anyway.

My daughter has this as assigned reading so I thought I would read it too. It doesn‘t really dive into cyber bullying, etc., which is the largest concern for her age group. It did offer a lot of helpful insight and advice about breaking unhealthy habits with phones.

I decided to give this one a go when I saw it in the new releases at my library. I prefer contemporary rom-coms when I read romance so a historical romance is something different for me. The heroine, Evie, is more Eliza Doolittle than Cinderella. The plot will be familiar to you. Others have compared the story with She‘s All That and I agree. Overall this is a predictable, breezy, escapist read.

This is a fun coffee table book for book lovers. It has illustrations, floor plans and maps of ten famous homes in literature, including Baskerville Hall, Thornfield Hall, and Northanger Abbey. Shockingly, Pemberley does not make the cut in this volume (you will have to hunt for the sequel, More Literary Homes). I found my copy in a second-hand bookstore.
