This was fun! And it‘s always a delightful surprise to find one‘s own name randomly included in a minor detail…

KAO “A” stands for Ashby in “KAO”! 6mo

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I think I ended up liking this one more than the first - it's hard to put my finger on how, but she draws me in right off the bat. I love the humor & wit she gives her characters, and the romance is a good blend of realistic and romanticized. It's clear that Irwin loves this time period, and these books feel well-researched, settled in their time period, but also contemporary.
I'm looking forward to more from this author!

This was fun. Surprising, and likely not particularly true to actual reality - progressive feminism! But enjoyable

The second book is just as sassy as her first. The banter made me laugh twice at every line as if it was hitting different parts of my psyche separately, and it was delightful. The unfairness of women's lives was so well told that it feels matter of fact and infuriating at the same time. I will read all the stories this author wants to tell us!
