so, i knew this was from the 40‘s and i didn‘t expect it to be PC but this was my least favorite so far. it left me with almost a slimy feeling. guess i‘m just not a Mike Hammer fan! #Oct2020 #BestMysteriesOfAllTime

LitStephanie Is this a biography? How is it? 4y
wonga @LitStephanie yes! its short at 108 pages but i really learned a lot. many pictures (its part of a series about black activists). it really is amazing what she went through and what she was able to accomplish 4y

apocalyptic fanfiction. very weird but fascinating, just like the author! would make a pretty awesome movie. (pretty sure he really owns Charlie Chaplin‘s cane :)

all the stars and thumbs...i bought the gorgeous coffee table book with full page film photos and the audiobook (great narrator) and will definitely revisit. full of thoughtful insight, i.e. Llewyn Davis WAS the cat (probably a tomcat :) the endpapers are of course a rendering of the Dude‘s famous rug. recommended for all cinephiles, especially Cohen fans 👍👍

in the 80s this monstrous man kidnapped, tortured and killed more young women than can be imagined. despite the cover, it‘s not sensationalist but more about police work and the FBI finally closing in. very much a cautionary tale as he slipped through every crack in the system and should have been put away years before. very personal for me as i knew one of the girls and her family. so sad. #ATrueCrimeStory #LitsyReadingChallenge2018

CSeydel Hand sanitizer! That‘s what I use to get the residue off. Works great, I always have it around, and it (usually 😬) doesn‘t damage the book cover. 6y
rubyslippersreads I haven't seen the movie yet, but there's a book (which I also haven't read yet 😊): 6y

wonga @CSeydel @Susanita i tried it (hand sanitizer) and it worked great 👍 thanks for the tip! 6y
CSeydel Woo hoo! @MinDea yeah it‘s the alcohol in the hand sanitizer that makes it work! I just usually have it around more than rubbing alcohol 😉 6y
