Im typical Carrey fashion, this book is eccentric. At times Carrey feels brutally honest & at others you get the sense that he‘s having fun at the reader‘s expense.

Reading resources ready let‘s give this book a try got it lockdown Christmas only 255 pages so hopefully be done this week maybe. Wishful thinking
I really enjoyed this it was out there like bat shit crazy but fun read 9/10
I shouldn‘t have balked after the iffy reviews, because I ended up loving this. A Hollywood satire that struck me as a blend of Hunter S. Thompson and Bret Easton Ellis, very well written with carefully crafted sentences dripping with vile wit. Carrey‘s humour shines through, but it‘s purely black comedy, not slapstick. Definitely recommend it on audio—Jeff Daniels‘ slouching baritone adds just the perfect amount of underlying venom and disdain.
Went for an audio walk today to see if it‘s still winter out there.
Update: It‘s still winter out there.
I was really excited when I first heard about this, but after seeing some lukewarm reviews I decided not to spend an Audible credit on it.
It‘s come up as a skip-the-line title at my library now though, so I‘ll give it a shot.

“None of this is real and all of it is true.” (Jim Carrey)
I rarely bail on a book, but I've got a TBR list of things I think I'll enjoy. The authors are trying too hard to be smart, funny, "out there". I read 4 chapters and all I could think was "quit trying so hard". I wanted to like this, I enjoy Jim Carrey, funny and serious stuff, but this was not enjoyable for me.
apocalyptic fanfiction. very weird but fascinating, just like the author! would make a pretty awesome movie. (pretty sure he really owns Charlie Chaplin‘s cane :)
#79 of my year and I‘ve been dying to dig into this one. I love him so much!
I can easily say that this is (so far) my favorite of the year. It‘s such a wonderful mix of so many things. One moment side-splitting funny, the next deeply moving. I really really enjoyed Memoirs and Misinformation. 🙌🏼💜🙌🏼
How did I not know about this? 🤦♀️
But really excited to get a copy and read it! 😎
