Next up - another awsome cover
A gothic fantasy - I have only heard good things about this duology
I am about a quarter of the way in - there is a lot of world building in the beginning so the pace has been a little slow - it‘s starting to pick up

It‘s spooky season - starting this witchy read.
I love this cover! I hope the book lives up to it.
This was unexpected. Surprisingly this was an empowering read I am glad I read this.

The Washington Post said it perfectly in their review
”Blair‘s fresh reframe should be required reading for any person who has sex, wants to have sex or is raising someone who might have sex in the future. This slender book has what it takes to be the foundation for a movement.”

Next up - Another powerful memoir
#womenshistorymonth
I know this is going to be a tough read - she has written a tough hard read about her life
- unearthing and bringing to light the hard things we hide in the dark.

March is Women‘s History Month.
I‘m starting off with this book translated from French.
#womenshistorymonth
I am working on one more non fiction read to wrap up the month.
Time for a heartwarming story so I‘m re-reading this
Finally getting around to this translation
Spending a quiet Sunday reading - since it‘s cold I‘ve decided to embark on a book journey to New Caledonia.
After a run of nonfiction reads I have decided to pick up a comfort read. What is more comforting than a British murder mystery? So up next - Poirot book one.
Jolly good!
What a bleak and heartbreaking story! I am glad I read this it definitely is timely read and provides a much needed perspective.
Next up - some more nonfiction
After reading chapter one - What could possibly go wrong? 🐍🕷️🐛🐜
This is my book clubs February pick. I know absolutely nothing about Phosphorus - and this made me realize you only know what you know. I am grateful the author was able to convey scientific info in a way I could understand. I am also grateful this is a book club pick - cause I need to discuss this!
I‘m halfway through this nonfiction book. It is hard to read the pure hatred these men had/have.
Ibram X. Kendi reviewed
“When we wonder about the how and why of the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, White Hot Hate begins to provide an explanation. It is riveting and revelatory.”
Chapter 1
“If a tree burns in the forest and nobody sees it…”
I could not put this down! I‘ll read anything by S.A. Cosby
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This book is making me laugh out loud!

I love this cover!

I finally got around to reading this while on vacation. This is a big book but worth every page. This book is definitely one of my top favorites! Why did I wait so long!
This was my book clubs pick for July. I think this is beautifully written. I had no idea what this was about when I picked it up - I thought it was going to be about birds. I will definitely read more books by her (I‘ll just make sure I have a box of tissues nearby)
This was a fast read for me - full of adventure! I read this originally because it was on Obamas summer book list.
Holy crap this book is effing terrifying.
This is dystopian fiction but very plausible 👀
Next up - some space inspired nonfiction
Next up. Working on books I feel like I‘m the only person left who has not read it yet.
#PBSGreatAmericanRead
This has been on my TBR forever! Finally reading it… what took me so long?
Tackling my TBR pile and catching up on this series.
Next up more nonfiction. This was recommended by a friend - I trust his recommendations so I am reading this without a clue about it (or Shanghai history or culture.)
I loved this!!!
What an absolutely delightfiul, sweet and inspiring book!
It‘s March Madness and while I don‘t really watch sports - I do read. So I‘ve decided to read a basketball adjacent book.
Next up.
I have heard great things about this book. I have high expectations.
Thank goodness my library had a copy of the third book in this series.
I blew through the first book and cannot start the second fast enough.
I went to an awesome bookstore - Old Fox Books & Coffeehouse when visiting Annapolis, MD recently. I picked this up - I‘ve heard about newly translated classics from Japan. I picked up a couple of vintage Agatha Christie books too. I seems Scout my beagle was just as excited to “devour” these mysteries. Thankfully I was able to get a copy from the library to finish it.
This was my bookclubs February pick. I read this last year before the PBS series aired. I decided to re-read it for bookclub mainly so I didn‘t mix up the book and the show😬 I love a good murder mystery.
This is my bookclubs March pick.
This book had me completely hooked. Even though I know absolutely nothing about horses or horse racing and I could not read this fast enough to find out what was going to happen!
This was a very difficult subject matter. I pretty much read this straight through.
To be honest I probably sped through this to avoid having my mind sit on the horrible, tragic lives these women led.
