Cute
This book is so much fun. I really enjoyed reading it. It was a nice break from some dark weeks 😊

This was cute but I didn‘t love it that much. It was just okay for me. I know a lot of people loved this one, but I don‘t know if I would continue through the series. It was fun for one book but not sure if I want to go to the next one.
This was exactly what I expected from a book described as high fantasy, low stakes.
The book is cosy and the friendships sweet.
And I would very much like to visit this coffee shop and eat all the pastries!
#HHS24 Oh my word!!!!! @CloakNQuill you beyond spoiled me!!!! Thank you so very much for the amazing books, treats, coffee, and tea!!! I am taking my girls to a showing of Hocus Pocus tomorrow and will be taking my@blanket and bag!!! Absolutely LOVE🧡🖤💜 @wanderinglynn thank you for hosting!!!
Been fighting off a nasty cold for the last few days and it finally caught up with me today. Ugh. 🤧
Luckily, the special editions of Legends & Lattes and Bookshops & Bonedust arrived today which helped to cheer me up! 💕📚
This book was so cute. It was exactly what I needed for cozy, warm, fall vibes. 🤎
Viv chose to retire from being a barbarian, & decided to pursue her dream of a coffee shop. W/ unwelcome figures from her past, a protection racket trying to extort her, & a succubus looking for a job, her retirement may not be as calm as she wanted.
This was charming! I loved all the descriptions of food (Thimble was my fave), the building of community, & the story of choosing to reinvent yourself. I did want more w/ the Madrigal. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
1. Tagged and The Kind Worth Saving
2. Not really but enjoy beautiful fall colors
3. All the pumpkin spice beverages and treats I can find!
4. The individual games, word search, etc

There are a two or three books in contention for my favorite of the year. This is one of them. #sundayfunday
So cute! Not my normal thing, but having a book that was pure fluff really is what my mind needed. I work at a coffee shop, so it was really lovely seeing fictional characters love this line of work.
I love the little illustrations at the start of every chapter! #bookclub #sisterswhoread #sisterbookclub #siblingbookclub
Warning: this book may cause uncontrollable cravings for coffee & baked goods.
Seriously, though, what a great read! I had such a book hangover. Where is the full series?! Surprisingly poignant, this story moves beyond cozy to suggest a whole shifting of values & I‘m here for it.

One book closes and two open?! Yes! Because my sibling and i are doing a little #bookclub this month :D
This is a #CozyFantasy about Viv who goes from mercenary to Cafe owner.

Seems like a good time of year to try this.
This was so far outside my comfort zone and, to be honest, I‘m so mad I haven‘t tried cozy high fantasy before. This was so fun! Amazing characters, good story, and definitely like nothing else I‘ve read before (which is refreshing!). It isn‘t necessarily a favorite genre now but it definitely will be something I pick up when I need a change of pace. And I‘ll definitely read the next book in the series! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I know this is an #UnpopularOpinion but, I really just can't get this one done. I have been working on it for a while now, I am about 65-70% done, but I just never want to pick it up to finish. It's probably just me.
Oh well.

From the writer of Legends & Lattes and Bones & Bookdust, we have Goblins & Greatcoats!
I loved Legends and can‘t wait to read the second one, so this was an immediate download.
If you love high fantasy, queer storylines, and/or cozy reads, this is for you.
Subterranean Press: Would you like a new Travis Baldree short story?
Me: *grabby hands* YES!!!
This was so fun! I loved seeing Viv and her coffee shop evolve. Hope there are more…
I turned 40 this year and my goal is to read 40 books. Well on track so far!
My two most recent reads (above) were both ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and recommended.
1. This month I diverged from picking a mystery set in Northern California as my favorite. I did read one, but L&L was really a delight.
2. The Lola Quartet

Purchased legends and lattes in beautiful 🤩 toppings bookshop in bath , I‘m wondering if the twins are the most photographed pumi pups 🐶 in bookshops around the UK 🇬🇧😆
This is my first BS/DS doubleheader! This series received so much Litsy love that I‘d be amiss not to add it to my TBR. I finally prioritized these warm-hugs-in-book-form and read them back-to-back. They are both cute as a bug‘s ear, I liked both equally, and perfect when you yearn for a couple days of stress-free reading.

I saw this on a lot of #auldlangspine lists, so I decided to finally give it a try. This is a delightful cozy fantasy. Compelling writing, interesting characters, and all the good stuff - adventure, danger, shadowy characters, plus coffee and baked goods. 😂
Had a great reading month! 17 books read and I enjoyed them all! I have to say my favorite was the tagged book, because I was very pleasantly surprised! I‘m not really a fantasy girl, and I caved because I saw all the love it was getting here on Litsy. I just love when that happens and it‘s one reason I love this community - you guys help push me out of my comfort zone and discover great books I wouldn‘t have read on my own!😊
I saw a recommendation for this one somewhere (maybe on this site) & although it is outside my normal genres I requested it from the library. When I realized I had not got to it and it was due soon, I almost skipped reading it. I am glad I didn't as I found it delightful, filled with great characters, humor and even a great moral lesson. Fair warning though - it will make you want baked goods. Now I need to find the next one in the series. 4.5/5
This was totally a #blameitonlitsy read! I saw all the love this book was getting so I had to see for myself what all the fuss was about, even though I‘m not much of a fantasy girl. I‘m glad I gave in to the hype because it was a total delight! The world-building was good, Viv is a great MC, and all the supporting characters are endearing.

This definitely lives up to the hype. It's hard to believe this was the authors 1st book. I did this as a buddy read with my sister and she loved it just as much as I did. I immediately bought us both the sequel which is actually a prequel.
What sweet fun whimsical story I devoured in audio, will definitely be reading more of this series !
Book 6 #readaway2024
What a fun romp this was! High fantasy meets cozy, with a little romance. Viv is an Orc who is done with the bounty life and is looking to settle down. She wants to open a coffee shop - the first one in the city of Thune. She meets a quirky, lovable cast of characters along the way. Funny, hopeful, sweet. This is fantastic on audio - Travis Baldree is a voice talent turned author and voices his own book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ❤️📚
I started this one on audio a couple of days ago. I got attached to the characters in the prequel, so I‘m hoping I didn‘t ruin my experience with this book by reading that one first. This one takes place several decades later. It‘s fun so far and the narration is excellent. The author is a voice talent and lends his voice to his own work with these books. ❤️📚🎧
Well, if I‘m not allowed to get up, I may as well finish a book!
I enjoyed this, though I didn‘t love it as much as I hoped. It was a fun, pleasant read. It did hit one of my pet peeves a couple times (it seems all the books I‘m reading right now are doing that). I liked all the characters. I will be reading the prequel.
After reading Bookshops and Bonedust, I had to revisit Viv as she finally finds her purpose and people ☕❤️ I think I enjoyed reading this even more the second time. Plus I hadn't read the bonus prequel yet so that was a fun connector of the two!
#AuldLangSpine @monalyisha @sebrittainclark
Welp, I wasn't planning on rereading this one just yet but ever since finishing Bookshops and Bonedust, I can't get Viv out of my head. So here we are 🙃 #moodreader
#AuldLangSpine @sebrittainclark @monalyisha
I‘ve seen so much love for this book, and though this genre is definitely not my usual read, I had a bit of FOMO. Then, when it was on @LiteraryinLawrence ‘s #AuldLangSpine list, I knew I had to try it. And, I really liked it! Totally not what I was expecting! I loved how Viv rebuilds her life through the cafe. My mouth watered over the treats Thimble bakes.
It was a good story. I liked it that much that I have a library hold on the next book!
- The strength of the book are the characters, definitely. And I liked the diversity. Especially Thimble!
Atmosphere/Setting: - Nicely done world making and just a hint of magical stuff.
Well written and easy to read. Not much of a plot, but the story moves ahead anyway I did love how the characters come together, despite Viv at times.
• Enjoyment: - Definitely enjoyed it.
Rating: 3.5 💙

Hold finally came in from the library I‘m not really a fantasy girly with the exception of currently reading the acotar series but I‘m 22% threw and so far it‘s cute, I have heard positive things about it from a YouTuber friend and her daughter so I thought why not
