47/100 I've seen a couple of reviews that said they liked the shorter version, more novella than novel, as opposed to the first two longer stories. I disagree, I don't feel the author had the space to adequately flesh out his characters or product a compelling mystery. This was so much fun! A locked room rom-com mystery (who knew that was a thing?). I enjoyed the interactions between the two MCs, the locked room mystery and the relationship mystery. I‘ll definitely try another Ally Carter novel.

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.

This was a nice little filler that takes place between “The Mystery Guest” and “The Maid‘s Secret”. It was nice to see these characters and the hotel around the holidays, and my only real complaint was the amount of times Juan Manuel‘s “bare/smooth chest” is mentioned.

Ik it's not Friday, but it's still a good day to share joy. Happy Easter Litsy family! 🐰🩷

1. I've been in a baking mood lately. Making muffins cookies, and brioche from scratch!
2. I made brioche for the first time and it turned out delicious! This is the first time I've made bread without the aid of a bread maker and it's actually turned out. I'm so proud of myself!
