Delightfully Christmassy with a Hallmark-esque ending.

After a rough breakup, Margot agrees to go home with a near-stranger as his fake girlfriend. Unfortunately, his younger sister Ellie is exactly Margot's type--and vice versa. Ellie knows her brother's new girlfriend is hiding something, and she's determined to find out what--even if it means breaking up the two of them. I really love silly queer holiday rom coms, but unfortunately this book just delivered all of it really badly. It‘s partly my taste and me struggling to enjoy British rom coms that are all too sweet and twee, but the prose was bad, none of the characters had much reason for doing anything, the twists weren‘t twists and everyone spoke in that annoying therapy language speak. Just a lot of people declaring why they do things rather than doing much.
