I said yup, The Nightingale and it‘s on my TBR! Then I picked Into the Drowning Deep. I have been wanting to read this one for forever, since it sounded exactly like my cup of tea: Tudor history with a magical twist, Princess Bride humor, and a plot out of Shakespeare. And it totally delivered! It's a fun but not frivolous read, as the humor compliments the plot and characters.
A lively magical adventure, with a romantic side doesn't feel too cheesy, and just a dash of (obvious historically inaccurate) history.
