I got my first library card in elementary school and I've been using the library ever since. Each new town I've moved to, first thing I did was get a new card. My two recent library cards. One for the city and one for the county.

I know my Littens will understand my sadness this morning: after driving into town to get books for #24in48 from my library (the nearest one is a 20 minute drive away) I arrived to find it CLOSED for inventory! I had to bring my sad library tote bag home empty. 😩 I guess I‘ll have to head back there tomorrow! @outofprint

Guess who finally made it to the library and renewed their card? This girl! Usually our hours don‘t work out but I was downtown yesterday and decided to run in! I wish I could go in everyday it‘s so warm and familiar to me! I spent so much time there in high school!

So my kindle has been acting a little funny lately & I think it needs to be re-booted with the 3G turned on. (Yes, it's old.) But, I don't want to lose all those hoarded library books, some of which I waited forever to check out but have not yet read. So here begins #ProjectKindle. I've read 3 in the last couple days (Magpie Murders, The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry, & Jane of Austin) but there are at least 8 more to go. 📚

I go to my small neighborhood branch, Raleigh Court, for my holds and the knitting group, and I head out to the much larger South County library when I'm in the mood to browse. #mylocallibrary

Look what I found today in an old photo album from my Granny! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
On the way home I checked the mail and had many packages, most I knew what they were before opening BUT I had a GIANT package from somewhere called "Orange Books". Huh? After finally getting in, greeting my love, petting Poochie, talking to my son, changing clothes and removing make up I opened my packages. I opened the mystery one last. The Library. Oh. My. Glob. Best #bookmail ever. From one of my dearest friends. Words cannot express.
