First stack of the summer! I have to finish Goodbye, Vitamin today for my book club tonight. Not sure which I'll do next. Suggestions?

So much fun looking through my #sockswap package from @GondorGirl ! I legit broke into the chocolate immediately and can't wait to wear the socks to school on Monday. :) I'm going to save the book for an upcoming flight to Florida. Thanks so much. ❤
@JPeterson
Sent out my #sockswap today! I hope my match likes it!
I haven't been doing nearly as much reading lately, and I blame this guy. :P I think I've spent more time outside in the last few weeks than I did in the last 6 months! #dogsoflitsy #poodle #rocketman #mrfloof

1. Trying to go to the library now more, but I always look at displays first then head to fiction.
2. Speak your mind, even if your voice shakes. -Maggie Kuhn
3. The Hungry Little Caterpillar or anything Dr. Seuss.

1. Goodreads. For a while I wanted to try a keeping a written list in my planner, but I ultimately opted to just keep my tracking online.
2. That's actually an excellent question. I think I prefer first person.
3. I'll be asleep for the first three hours, and then at work for the other five. Won't interrupt my litsying at all!
4. I appreciate everyone I follow, but I should shout out @bookandcat for introducing me to litsy!

So excited for my first #litsyswap! Thank you, @JPeterson for organizing the #sockswap! Haven't even gotten my match yet and already thinking about what I can send along. :)
About to start my second #springbreak book! Finally finished my March book club book (The Light Between Oceans), which was meh. Hoping I enjoy this one more!
"Rowing a race is an art, not a frantic scramble. It must be rowed with head power as well as hand power... Your thoughts must be directed to you and your own boat, always positive, never negative."
I had some friends in college on the crew team. I'm learning more about rowing from this book than I ever did from hearing them complain about practice, but now I have a better understanding of how mentally and physically taxing the sport really is.
Compelling account of life as a teen parent, specifically a young father. It captures the expected ups and downs, and throws in a few extra wrenches to make it a tear-jerker at times. I listened to this on Audible, and I really enjoyed the narration.
I had the pleasure of being exposed to this book through Audible's #ProjectListenUp.
I really enjoyed this book! It was donated to my school in a box of books I've been working my way through, and I'm glad I took this one home. It's lighthearted and humorous, with a good balance of characters that you love and others you love to hate. It could have been five stars, but the ending didn't tie up enough loose strings to give me the closure I wanted. Overall, though, I'd definitely recommend it to a friend.
Saw this posted by @Chelleo who got the idea from @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks - Reading speed test! I'm also a member of the #slowreadersclub it seems, compared to average adults at least. I think I speed up a bit once I get into the groove of a book, but not significantly.

My #litsyavatar #profilepicture is a selfie from a hiking trip I took this fall. A yoga studio hosted the hike, and we meditated at the top of the mountain. Other than reading, yoga is my go-to for #selfcare. @Chelleo
The book I tagged is a new #audiobook I started listening to this morning! I'll post more about digging into audiobooks later.
I saw some people posting this today so I figured it would be a good opportunity to finally introduce myself! (I never did make that bio post)

My reading this weekend! Really enjoying it so far. I love how the book is written through letters, emails, and short commentary by Bee, the title character's daughter.
Almost hit 14 hours in my attempt at the #24in48 #readathon over the weekend. I'm pretty proud of myself! I read Milan Kundera's The Book of Laughter and Forgetting, Nabokov's Lolita, and Mark Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. All were good reads, but I enjoyed Haddon's the most.
About to start book three of this #readathon weekend! I won't come close to actually completing #24in48 but I'm pretty proud that I've hit double digits. It's helped that my husband has been absolutely engrossed in the new video game Monster Hunter. We're each in our own worlds. :)

New to litsy and will post a bio later, but I wanted to share the little reminder I start with each day. :)
