This series gets better with every book and now the tension between Kate and Curran is everything! The battle against more otherworldly creatures, saving a werewolf, learning Kate‘s history all comes together in a book I couldn‘t stop reading.

I‘m currently obsessed with all books that are enemies to lovers. This came highly recommended and it lived up to the hype. I thought it was fantastic, funny and wonderful.
Sebastian and Sara don‘t get along. He‘s just a bit antisocial and grumpy and she struggles with a lot of emotional baggage. They are mandated to go to therapy together after a workplace incident and thus begins a very antagonist relationship that turns into more.
I adored this book! It was so sweet and emotional and funny. The narration was also amazing. It is fade to black, but the build up of the relationship is hot!Gracie is struggling. She loses her job, her mom is ill -fate steps in. She gets asked to be the double for a famous actress during her publicity events. She needs the money so agrees, but is shocked when she‘s paired up with a sexy stuck up actor.
There‘s a lot going on in this book and it was very entertaining. Molly has the worst luck and now she‘s been kidnapped. But the Silverstone guys come to the rescue and Smoke promises to protect her, even from danger much closer to home.
I could not stop reading this book! Amazing characters, steamy romance and such a fun story. I loved everything about it.
Georgiana needs to get married to stop her cousin from forcing her into a marriage where he takes control of her business. What better way to get and lose a husband than to marry a criminal about to get hung?
But Benedict is actually undercover for Bow Street and when he meets up with Georgiana again, the sparks fly.
It started off great with Ally losing her job and starting over in Maine. On her first night she freaks out and calls a hot guy neighbor for help. It was cute and fun.
But both MCs are a bit of a mess emotionally and I felt like we never got a full picture of Jake‘s hot and cold moments and Ally overreacted a lot. I will definitely read more in the series though.
Was is entertaining? Yes - it kept me reading and surprised me multiple times.
But it was a lot. Like every crazy twist was thrown in when it wasn‘t needed. There were assassins, psychic teddy bears, con men, and more. It was just a lot.
This might be one of my favorite books this year. The humor was spot on, the douche canoe fiancé was someone you could love to hate, each character was flawed, but amazing. It was so good! And the romance was steamy, fun and awkwardly sweet.
This book has revived this series for me. The previous couple were bad, but I love Teresa Gabelman so I kept reading and this was great. There‘s the crazy danger, goofy humor and sweet romance I enjoy from her novels.
I needed to be prepared for the emotional hits. It was definitely a different vibe than the first two books in the series. It‘s more of a focus on family, Anna‘s journey through her diagnosis and Quan‘s journey to healing.
I loved the book. I felt so much while reading. The pain and frustration is consuming in parts. Definitely read Hoang‘s author note at the end, it explains so much about how this book went and made it even more meaningful .
It‘s a fantastic grumpy/awkward sunshine romance with delicious sounding foods and a bucolic setting. There‘s some creative steamy scenes, wonderful characters and enough drama to keep you wondering what would happen next.
Audrey just wants her own restaurant, but she‘s paying her dues. And her current job is sending her to farmland Vermont for local produce for a restaurant group. Surprisingly she runs into her college fling, Griffin.
80s setting
Hilarious grandma
Soap opera star mall tour
Fashion designer
This was a super short, but really fun novella. I loved it.
I don‘t really know what to say about this book. Weeks later I‘m still wondering how to write this review.
Was it a good book? Yes, it was really good and I binged it.
Was it really uncomfortable? Yes, and I‘m still struggling with it. The tabooness was a lot uncomfortable and I‘m trying to separate the story and the relationship changes between the MCs
My first Melissa Foster book was a good one! I wasn‘t expecting such a great mix of humor, angst and steaminess. But I should have been because so many have recommended her books. I will definitely be reading more.
Tracey and Diesel start off as frenemies. He‘s trying to protect her and she believes she‘s capable of taking care of herself. But as they are pushed together they move past their painful pasts to make their relationship work.
Arranged mafia marriage- Sicilian mob princess and grade A jerk of a Boston mafia king. It was totally entertaining and I read it in one sitting. It‘s dark, but not too dark and Milo is a hero you love to hate.
This book was everything I love about romance. It‘s sweet, emotional and the build up between Hannah and Fox is so steamy. Even the first kiss scene is hot.
Fox is trying to get past years of being told his success with women is his worth. He‘s struggling to realize he can be more than he believes, but Hannah is there to help him. She has her own problems, to include needing to stand up for what she wants and needs.
There‘s just something comforting about a Kristen Ashley book. I read them when I‘m on emotional overload- so this time I picked up a new to me book.
Julia has moved to England to raise her nieces and nephew after her brother and sister-in-law passed, but she‘s co- raising them with Douglas, her stern, broody, sexy brother-in-law. There‘s plenty of drama and sweetness, some great secondary characters and a cursed house with the requisite ghosts.
I always know I‘m going to get steamy fun with a Rilzy Adams book and this was beyond sexy. It was so much fun, low angst and I just really enjoyed it. Hendrix and Novah are in a polyamorous relationship in which they date others separately, but openly. That‘s until they both meet Sadie and realize she‘s the perfect fit for both of them.
I will always one click a romantic suspense novel set in Antarctica- the weather and land add so much drama to the story. This book was non stop action with that touch of paranormal that I love about this series.
Peril‘s sister has been kidnapped while on an expedition and she comes to THS to help her. Ronin agrees to join the adventure, but is less open to a relationship.
Set in a post pandemic world in which much of the population died, Summer has finally found her place in a small community. Then the man that left her years ago returns with his partner. The love is still there, but trust has to be earned and her fear of them leaving her overcome. This book was emotional and steamy, exactly what I love about Lauren Dane.
Cat and Bones can‘t catch a break and luckily this makes for another great book. Turns out another vampire may have a claim on Cat, the ghouls of New Orleans have their own laws to follow and all this drama puts a major strain on Cat and Bones. Once again there‘s fantastic characters, great suspense and relationships that need to change and grow. I can‘t get enough of this series.
I laughed my a$$ off at Arienna. She hopes for the best, but believes in revenge. That is, unless she needs the good D, then she‘ll deal with what she has to. I freaking loved her, her murder pets and the hate sex she has with King Richard Morningstar who marries her with plans to execute her. She‘s not going to let that happen- in fact she checks out some great books about getting him first, but she keeps getting distracted.
Trope: military romance novella
Julie was a huge b$@ch in a previous book in the series, but has done a lot of reflection after her kidnapping and is changing her ways. In fact she wants to apologize and thank her rescuers, but first she needs to convince their commander that she‘s really changed. It was a pretty good novella and more honest than I expected.
Trope: MFM shifter romance
She needs a date to her cousins wedding since her ex is also invited. Luckily her neighbor runs a shifter matchmaking service and has the perfect guys for her. It was sexy and fun.
Trope: MMF historical western
Florence wants what her parents have - a loving marriage with two men. Her mother‘s advice leads her to her dream men. This book was a sweet development of their relationship and fun moments with the Wickes-Barnes sisters that had me giggling. It‘s low angst and there‘s the promised sword crossing. This whole series has been great so far and I really enjoyed this one.
Shanti is everything in this book! She has a dream to be a queen to be able to help others. She sets up her entire life to reach that goal.
And then King Shanyu needs a wife. Shanti looks forward to helping her husband and his country, but it seems as if everyone, as well as tradition, is against them.
It was an emotional book. It was such a good book! The secondary characters added so much to the book as well.
Trope: second chance romance
It‘s low angst which surprised me, but I love how Phillips writes characters that talk things out. It was a fun book and I loved it.
Sebastian and Ashley had a make out session when they were high schoolers. Their parents had been married (step)and Ashley had been sent away.
Now they‘re grown and meet again. Sebastian has to make up for his part in her leaving and they need to work to save his family‘s business.
Trope: best friend‘s brother.
A novella set at a resort in Mexico. A vacation in which everyone backs out except our MCs and both decide it‘s time to move on the mutual crush they‘ve had for years. It was sexy and made me wish for some beach time!
Need a sweet romance with great characters and a bit of mystery? I thought this book was fun even while it had some more angsty moments.
The MCs meet each other in high school at a spring break vacation spot and then lose touch, but it‘s four years later and they run into each other again.
Look - it wasn‘t as bad as the previous book, but it wasn‘t great. It‘s also only book 1 in a duet and it really doesn‘t need to be. I feel like she‘s just trying too hard to write dark romance and it‘s not working for me. There‘s so much inner dialogue and wishy-washy feelings that I was just annoyed by the end of the book and I really don‘t know if I‘ll pick up the next book.
This series is just awesome. I this book was nonstop crazy magic, bad guys and twists and turns. I listened on audio and it was so well done that I just sat in my driveway finishing a chapter before I went in the house.
Trope: Enemies to lovers in a rock star romance.
Witty banter and snark blend with steamy tour bus scenes for a fun romance.
Nick is lead singer of his band and does bad social media protecting his band mate. Dalia blasts the band on social media without knowing the full story, but the repercussions are more than she bargained for. When she gets a job on their tour the two butt heads constantly, but it‘s a thin line between love and hate.
I ended up liking this book about halfway through. Bonny was so fun and sweet and watching Valentine become self aware of his own actions and feelings was wonderful. There were so many funny moments that had me laughing. I adored seeing those two together.
I admit that the first part of this book was a struggle for me. I found Belle and Bonny really annoying and frustrating. It definitely took me getting more time with Bonny to love him.
I‘m always up for an alpha biker with a sweet side! There‘s drama and danger, crazy coincidences that I loved and steamy romance. I enjoyed every page of this book.
Luna is on the run, trying to get away from a murderous ex that keeps finding her. Everything starts to look up when Riggs agrees to hide her and he knows ASL so they can communicate. He knows she‘s his one and that he‘ll do anything to protect her.
I was not expecting the heavy awesomeness of this book. The feelings were so much, it was a great book. It‘s almost three stories in one and I loved the two I was supposed to and was so tense about the one so full of hurt and anger. I loved it just as much as the first book in the series!
A grumpy alpha/brother‘s best friend romance with a side of revenge and mystery. This book was so good. There‘s so much happening with Ava getting to know Alex as more than the serious businessman she‘s always thought her brother‘s friend to be and Alex, who has tried to turn off all emotions after losing his family growing to care about Ava. There‘s dark undercurrents throughout the book with understanding motivations and I couldn‘t put it down.
I‘ve been one clicking so many TikTok recs lately and this was a total win! It‘s sweet, funny, low angst and romantic. It‘s book 4 in the series, but can be read as a stand alone novel. I will definitely be reading others in the series though.
Mia is a single mom trying to make a life for her and her sons in a new town. Cam is a football player who may have to retire due to concussion injuries and is trying to decide his own future.
This was a mix of romance and novel about a woman moving on with her life after divorce. The majority of this book was focused on Thea losing her job, finding her husband cheating on her with her friend and getting an inheritance of a home in a cute Scottish town. She gets a job in a book store with a grumpy, but sexy boss. While it sounds cliché it was pretty wonderful.
Book 2 in the Dragon Heart Legacy was definitely more fantasy novel than romance and really cannot be read without reading the first book.
The world Nora Roberts has built is fantastical with dragons, elves, fae, weres and merpeople along with a magic sword and a dark god out to take over all the worlds. We get the start of battle and betrayals in this installment, a focus on duty and protection over a relationship between Keegan and Breen.
This is a book we should all read. It‘s really short, but I learned so much and enjoyed the writing immensely.
If a book could make you feel as cozy as a warm blanket burrito it‘s this book. Sam and Lily are fantastic. The new meeting awkwardness had me feeling it too because it‘s so honest. I loved them together and it all just made me happy.
My copy finally arrived today along with these shirts from @romance_novel_merch I have been in love with this series for years and I‘m so excited and nervous to read this book!!! But no #edging allowed 😀
Apparently I didn‘t get enough holiday books in December because this sweet Christmas romance just made me happy. The oops one night stand turned to enemies was a fun trope. The banter between the main characters was fantastic. And while there were constant problems and funny issues, it was low angst and overall really sweet.
I‘m obsessed with Lynsay Sands highlander romances. They are sweet, steamy and always funny. This one was no exception.
It starts off with Claray being rescued from a forced marriage by The Wolf. And right away the laughs happen with her rescuing baby animals every time she leaves camp.
There‘s the someone trying to kill them mystery that‘s a staple of this series as it‘s a spin-off of the Buchanan books so we get to see some previous couples.
This series is only 2 books and a novella and I love it so much. A fantasy romance series,it has a lot going on with so many countries/geographical areas, connected characters and storylines and page turning nonstop action. It‘s a beautiful mix of magic, romance, good vs evil and redemption.
In this book an outcast soldier and a feral prince must overcome the past to save their country, as the Destroyer returns and an alliance forms to fight him.
I think I may have found a new favorite historical romance. Jessica is the best heroine - honestly, the way she is with Dane is absolutely perfect. Shooting him? Amazing! Dane has problematic moments, but it‘s a 1995 book, so ya know. He is a jerk, but has his reasons. There‘s sweet moments, hilarious moments and overall one of the best books I‘ve read in a long time.
Instalove, the sweetest subway serenading hero ever and a woman dealing with grief all collide in this book. It was so good and I‘m glad I was in the mood for pure adorable romantic moves, it could have been cheesy, but was actually wonderful.
Lottie hates her job, feels guilt over her brothers death and is just getting by. The only thing getting her through the day is the man playing guitar and singing at the subway station every night.
This whole series needs to be talked about more because it‘s so good. Family relationships are so true and honest. And the miscommunication in this book made sense and was a great part of the story.
Hannah has had a crush on Nate since elementary school and now he‘s back in town and in need of a nanny. A perfect fit for Hannah. Except the two are attracted to each other and that boss/employee thing is getting in the way.
This series has been entertaining, but each book has been pretty similar. This one branched out a bit which I appreciated. And we finally see the relationship between Benny and Jess, the sweet waitress we‘ve gotten to know though previous books. It wasn‘t great, but it was a quick fun book.
I love the premise of this book. A quirky, fun and brilliant data analyst stands up to her grouch billionaire boss and they overcome drama and fall in love. The travel and sweet moments were wonderful. I just felt like the story moved slow and I struggled to stay engaged. The writing was great, so probably a me problem. I definitely want to read the next book in the series.
