Following my instinct to bail on a book when the idea of reading it makes me go "ugh"; this is my third try with this author, and my third bail. I just don't think we get on!

I have read 17 books in December and this book was most definitely my favorite book of the month!
#bookofthemonth
For starters, I loved this book. This was quite possibly the best rom com book that I have read all year long. The characters were tugging on my heartstrings and playing into my inner romance lover.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Half way through and this is a gooooood read. If you like friends to lovers, tension, roomate situations and more, this book is for you!
5/5 ⭐️ Tessa Bailey is definitely a favorite romance author for me now! She just writes funny and steamy stories that always make me smile.
I usually don‘t like romance novels at all, but this one was light hearted and fun to listen to. I think I enjoyed this one more than the first.
I just found this Wordle type of game but it‘s for bookworms. This game isn‘t called Wordle. It‘s called Bookdle. Instead of guessing a word, you‘re guessing what the book is based on only seeing a little bit of the cover. I was really into playing Wordle for awhile but I‘m going to try playing this game for awhile. I think the reason I got this right is because I‘ve seen the book cover before. I might have a hard time guessing the next one.
Finished this gem while pool floating this morning..ahhh, vacation. I LOVE Hannah and Fox. Talk about character development. Who I am as a person made me resonate a lot with Hannah. Watching them become who they are trying to be while navigating any relationship was a fun ride. This was definitely a good one.
What I liked: The PNW setting, Hannah's love of music, her discovery of the sea shanties her dad wrote.
What I didn't like: Fox, the exhausting will they or won't they, Fox, and did I mention Fox??
Read this for book club and am glad to be moving on to the next thing.
I loved this book! It was more of a slow burn than the first in the series, but it was filled with adorably sweet moments, steamy scenes and so many highs and lows for the main characters. I absolutely adore Hannah and Fox!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ah, this was good ?
It was wonderful to be back in Westport, I just wanna live there! This book is the turn of Fox & Hannah. Although I enjoyed it, I still preferred "It Happened One Summer" as that was much quicker paced and funnier.
I found Hannah to be a bit irritating at points, but I love Fox. I also wish we saw more of Piper & Brendan.
Overall, it's super fun and a cute rom com!
It‘s not even worth my time explaining my reasons after reaching Chapter 8. It‘s so ridiculous and unrealistic unless I‘m in another realm?
Cute storyline that was ultimately different than the first book in the series.
Solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star read. I think I enjoyed the drama of book 1 more.
Would absolutely read more from Tessa Bailey.
Another winner from Tessa Bailey! While a much slower burn than It Happened One Summer, this duology was perfection overall. I so enjoyed returning to the lovely seaside town of Westport, and watching Hannah get her leading lady moment with Fox the charmer. And that EPILOGUE... definitely one of (if not THE) best epilogues that Bailey has ever written.
Tessa Bailey writes in a way that sends you through all the emotions. Some of the dialogue was cringe worthy, but it‘s romance. I don‘t need it to be perfect; it‘s my mindless, fluffy reading. I want my mysteries tight & twisty but romance just needs to entertain. This book certainly entertained me.

Gah my heart is gushing ❤️ Tessa Bailey just knows how to write funny, catchy, and steamy reads! Fox and Hannah are to die for!
Hook, Line, and Sinker takes ALL the feels, wraps them a beautiful bow, and waits for you to unwrap it, gifting you with joy, laughter, heartache, tears, and hope. While I am sad to see this series come to an end, I couldn‘t imagine it continuing in any other way.
I really wanted to like this one, but the first one is better! I just feel like the “I‘m not good enough for her, I‘m an f-boy” is so overdone. I hated how she wrote Fox. Bleh. The will they won‘t they was dragged out unnecessarily. Plus, some of these lines in the book… major cringe, like did he really just call her “wet girl”?? Yikes. 2/5
Hannah‘s back in Westport to shoot a movie. She stays with her “platonic,” but extremely hot friend Fox. They try to make her boss, who she has a crush on, jealous, but they both start to grow feelings for each other instead.
I still like the first one better, but this one is still good. I liked Hannah and Fox as characters together and their arcs. My favorite part was the epilogue; it was much needed.

I love character development and this story delivered. The author created characters with so much depth, it was impossible for me to dislike them.
This book contained more drama compared to the last one as the first also had some very funny scenes but it suited the characters and the story.
This book was so spicy and steamy it made me blush.
To understand the title you definitely have to read the first book.
Another fun romance from Tessa Bailey. I think I liked this even better than It Happened One Summer!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 for the series!
Both of these books were full of romance and had cute stories to back it up!! Loved them both!💕
Had a great Thanksgiving with family - came home that night and went to bed - when we woke up the next morning my husband had chills and body aches. He tested positive for Covid 😩 Praying my toddler and I don‘t catch it. Spending my solo evenings reading while my husband is quarantined in the bedroom 😷 Wrapped up a book tonight so time for a new read! This came recommended by a friend so we shall see! 💕
I liked how some important topics were handled through Fox.
I was disappointed how this wasn't fun at all. This was even boring for me this way, I love fluffier stories that make me laugh.
Epilogue was so so sweet and perfect that it was a bit nauseating.

I enjoyed this story continues the story of the Bellinger sisters, this time it Hannah and Fox. It's predictable but it's fun and steamy.
Even all of my Booktok disappointments put together cannot outshine my love for Tessa Bailey… she‘s hilarious on tiktok and I adore her characters.
This second book didn‘t consume me the way the first did, but I loved it anyway. Fox and Hannah are imperfect perfection, their love story is so sweet, and Tessa (per usual) brings the spice that‘s worth the wait. 😍
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
I definitely liked book 2 more. Fox is the kind of bad boy hero you want to root for. I loved Hannah & Fox‘s story.
3.5 stars
This was cute but I did roll my eyes quite a bit. Everything just ended up perfectly which was a bit nauseating, to be honest. And parts were just over the top. The narrator was great and it was fun and plenty steamy! I don't really care for slow burn though.
A fun and steamy rom-con that is guaranteed to tug on your heartstrings!!

This book was even better than the first! Perfect book if you‘re looking for a fun, steamy romance.
Book 2 of the Bellinger Sisters. I liked this one better than the first one. If you like a good spicy 🌶 RomCom that will tug at your heartstrings… this should do it!
I liked Hannah and Fox‘s story more than I liked Piper and Brandon‘s. It seemed less fluffy and more like something that could really happen. I still have to give big eye rolls to the de descriptions… how is every guy so magnificently well endowed?! Still, overall an enjoyable read.
I have heard so much about this and it's first counterpart,, time to give it a whirl!
This #bookspin list contains all of my current borrows, including those hibernating on my kindle (which is living on airplane mode). I'm looking forward to clearing out a good portion of my TBR this month with plenty of outdoor reading.
As always, thank you @thearomaofbooks for hosting this wonderful challenge!
He wanted to be out in the gale, warring with waves, battling their impact, witnessing nature at her angriest. Watching as she changed her mind in a matter of seconds. Maybe humans couldn‘t change, but nature could. Nature lived to change.
This was a refreshing, enjoyable romance. I loved how strong and brave Hannah was. She knows what she wants and she goes for it, it is Fox who has to step up. Not your typical romance conflicts and a great use of the friends to lovers trope.
The flowers and trees are in full bloom here! Perfect day for reading and relaxing.
😍😍😍 I love a book where the main characters display healthy communication and talk about issues as they arise rather than waiting and letting them fester. Hannah and Fox felt like real people and not overly like tropes. Second in the series (didn‘t read the first and wasn‘t confused). Friends to lovers trope.
Really enjoyed this one. Fox and Hannah‘s story is good, just the right combination of sappy (not in a bad way) and spicy 🌶
Jumping straight into Hook, Line and Sinker! For the #ThingsinCommon challenge, both covers have characters wearing headphones on the cover. 🎧
I liked this, not quite as much as book 1, but it dealt with some serious subjects-specifically toxic masculinity-in a quality way. This is far more slow burn then is typical of Tessa Bailey but it fit the story. Still includes heavy steam that is typical of this author. 4⭐️
