I finally have motivation to read this book, since it is the book for the Academic Decathlon this year. I could not be more happy or impressed. And I picked the perfect time to read it! I am already in the spooky/scary mood thanks to this piece of horror.

This book was so charming! And I am so disa I couldn't fully enjoy it because my reading has been lacking due to college applications and essays! Yay!

I loved how the characters in this book were so two dimensional. All characters, even the protagonist, had their faults and their good aspects. No character was absolutely perfect, and I loved that.

Long time since an update, huh?

This book was okay. I can't say too many bad things, or good things, for that matter. My main complaint with this book was that something about the pacing was... off. I couldn't form a connection with the characters. I got confused about who was who and the main character had no personality.

However, it was a good book. I'm pretty content with it, but I don't know if I'll read the sequel.

This book was so much like Grave Mercy (duh same characters and author). I loved it even more than I loved Grave Mercy. This one was much easier for me to follow and connect with. My favorite thing about these books are how flawed and raw each character is. It shows how real it is.
One thing I did have to complain about was that sometimes the author would tell me things rather than show me, especially when it came to inner dialogue.

This book was a wonderful introduction to poetry. It handled serious topics that pertain to other young women and it shows the depths of those problems.
It also dealt with feminism, and as a conservative, I was skeptical. But this book handled feminism in a meaningful way, not annoying or shoved down my throat.
I am so happy I finally had the courage to pick up this book and give it a read.

As great as this book is, I have a few complaints.

I loved the dark and eerie tone of this book! However, it was ruined during some parts because the author constantly had to remind the reader that the book was fantasy. A few random tidbits here, a strange backstory there. It was so close to being the horror book that I need in my life!
No matter my complaint, I am so happy that there was a healthy relationship between stepmother and daughter.

It was a cute little book that really reminded me of Gilmore Girls and Good Witch. There were a few complaints, such as I wish things like the festival and the impact of Sarah's books in people's personal lives was talked about more so we could get a real understanding of it.
All in all, cute, fantastic, and something sweet to pass the time.

Jem through time? Jem and Tessa? Jem and baby?! HECK YES!!

I love Jem and I love the Shadowhunter world, but I did have a few complaints with this book. First, I was expecting the story to be about Jem, not other people where Jem sometimes makes an appearance. I also didnt like that it is more of a connector rather than a stand alone. Much like Queen of Air and Darkness, it left me with more questions than answers.

I love Holly Black and I love the world of Faerie, but I got lost a lot. In the third book, Ironside, I was under the impression that Val would be there too, but she wasn't. I was confused for a majority of Valiant and the drug never came up again after it. But I loved the Lament of Lutie-loo, the new story. It was fabulous and tied together this story to the Folk of the Air!

This book is stunning. It is rich, it is dark, it is gory, and it is sexy. Holy crap this was everything I wanted it to be and more. It really exceeded my expectations (even though it took me over a week to finish).

This book is such a wonderful love story. The love between Alexander and Tatiana was absolutely marvelous. There were a few spots in this book that were slow, redundant, or unnecessary. This book is around 800 pages, and some of those pages just kept exploring old topics that were already dealt with. Maybe I'll read the next one, who knows. But for now, the love between Alexander and Tatiana makes my heart sing.

I cannot begin to express how much I love this main character!
First, she kills a man with her shoe and puts it back on, applies her lipstick and goes to gamble.
Next, she wears pearls when she's killing or making deals.

Beautifully rich and wonderful! The romance was gradual and was not the main driving force of the story, which I really appreciate. The Middle Ages is not typically written about in YA literature, so it was so interesting to see it come to life! There were a few slow parts, but I am so happy I finally decided to pick this one off of my TBR pile!

Fantastique!

I am in love with this book! The politics, the characters, the twists and turns of the plot all kept me engaged! I loved how deep the characters were. You instantly form a connection with Camille and Lazare, and Alain is so frustrating you hate seeing his name. The villain is fantastic, but I do wish his motives were explored a little more.

I highly highly recommend this book!
